TAC cup GRAND FINAL

He is a rover. Pretty quick but small 175cms eg.shane harvey. He is good without being exceptional. He might be a rookie list chance for us. If madden gets on then we will definately know that sheeds has been smokin way too much weed. But ezard could be a good one if we pick him up.

Haven't you got anything better to do? Do you want your post count to get up that badly?

TAC Cup will supply 10-15 draftees out of this game, therefore it is relevent on this board.

If all you have to do is post things like "Regional", I suggest you go and find some employment. No wonder you have 5600 posts.
Yah.

Shane Harvey is a perfect description. Has good clean hands and real pace - doubt he would make it at AFL. I still can't believe you picked Harvey at 20!

Deldedio excites me more than Egan.

You would think Tenace, McLean, Gayfer and Dunn would go top 20. Bentick and Mundy will go a little later.

Your not the only one. I still think with a kick up the arse he will be a good player but he was drafted a round or 2 too early.

Anyone know wot's the goss on Daniel Anglin (Cannons) ?

is he a chance of playing ?

LAst time they played murray he played on Kotzur a dangerous small forward, and came out with the points, so id be pretty sure in saying hell be playing. AS for Josh Madden, unlikely he will play hasn't played the last 3 games or so, due to omission so doubt he will be brought back in for the Grand Final

92 point win to the Calder Cannons in shocking conditions.

Brock Mclean awarded BOG. Well done.

Any team that picks up Brock in the draft will get an excellent player. Clean hands, hard at the ball, great decision maker.

Sensational performance by McLean - how good was that 60 metre torp into the breeze? He is so strong in the hips too.

Goullet impressive off half-back, worked well with Davis and Douglas who provided a lot of rebound.

Hartigan was good again, showed he can play onball as well as defence, his ability to find space is excellent. Bentick was good, Iacobucci good.

Clifton did well kicking 4, but there were a couple of things I didn't like from him. Betts is the definition of an excitement machine.

Murray were very disappointing. Ryley Dunn was terrible, Tenace ineffective. Oswald didn't do a lot either.

Only players who can really hold their head up high are Mikal Bloom and Gayfer. Gayfer's work rate was exceptional.

Deledio went OK too. Egan was a major disappointment. He is very undisciplined. I'm sure a few Calder players were remembering his arrogant display late in the game a few weeks back.

Well done Calder, and well done Rob Hyde - he is a superb coach.

I agree Goalden. I know you get to a lot of VFL/TAC games and would have heard most of the coaches at some stage during the season as well. Rob Hyde is by far the best speaker to his players at 1/4 and 3/4 breaks. He backs up what he says with stats, compares performances and pre-game goals with stats, demands more out of his players all the time, and is very good with his rotations of players.

Just finished watching the tape of today's game - much easier to see than it was at the ground. Obviously the players you mentioned were very good today Goalden. McLean was the right choice for the medal, he was very good. Goullet played very well, and Hartigan was another who worked really hard in the conditions to get the footy clear for Calder. I think you would struggle to find a better team of players, and the best thing is not one of them is scared to put their head over the footy.

I thought Adam Bentick's acceptance speech at the presentation was first class, and it is great to see a player who you know can play actually get up there and show they have more qualities than just playing footy.

Of the players you didn't mention, I'm going to mention Roberto Castello who had in excess of 20 possessions. He scrapped for the footy all day and showed clean ball handling skills at ground level on almost every occassion in the wet. He is a smart footballer. I doubt he'll get the recognition come draft time, but he is one bloke who really should go on and play VFL. Another one in a similar position is Natale Caruso who also has a lot of very good characteristics and is a player who is one grab all the time below the knees.

As bulldog_54 said they will get a few players returning next year. Obviously May and Betts are two who are fairly well known, but I think Jesse D Smith and Jackson Barling both are capable of being drafted in 2004 if they continue to work hard.

For Murray, most of their players were disappointing. Two goals - and one of them was from a free kick. As far as best players go, Mikal Bloom was the obvious one I think he topped their possessions at the end of the day. Will Gayfer put in a good show as a leader, but there wasn't much else for the Bushrangers. The good news is the Ovens and Murray Footy League has a netball competition :D (a bit harsh but I had to chuck that one in) :)

For next year obviously Brett Deledio has a future, while Marcus Drum in defence was very good last week but didn't have the same effect today. Both those boys are 16 years old and will be better for the experience.

I think it is really disappointing to see the TAC Grand Final get played at 9am and end at 11.30 in front of virtually no crowd at the MCG. The players would love getting onto the MCG on AFL GF day, but from a spectator viewpoint it doesn't work. The last two years have been terrible atmospheres. They need to get back to the 10.15am starts, at least by 12 you start having people stroll into the ground.

The best team walked away with the TAC Cup in 2003 - well done to the Calder Cannons.

Well Done Calder!

Clearly the best team in the competition!

Bad thing was the the game wasnt close which made it a tad boring. Never the less very impressed with the Cannons approach to football. Well done.

Only saw the second half of the match.

Calder were very good.

I was disappointed with Tenace to be honest. I only saw him get about 5 touches for the entire half. He wasn't alone though.
