north rebels and geelong played today yeh?any 1 see it?

Geelong won in a 5 quarter match at Buninyong. Had intended to play 6 but with small Rebel squad (missing 10 or so for different reasons - ie Suban with AIS). Bit of a patchy game - hard for Falcons to get continuity as they rotated through their squad of about 47. Ballarat lead to start Falcons pegged em back and put on good lead, then Ballarat brought them back to within 2 points but Falcons steadied.

eastern played sandy on thursday night
and i beleive sandy didnt kick a goal until the last quarter in the 1st game!!
ranges winning comfortably in each of the games

eastern to be massive improvers this year and be right in contention!

Last weeks praccy against Falcons in u/17s Eastern were towelled. 2nd game at 18 age Falcons still won but with a lesser margin than the first game. Blease missing but overall not too many standouts for Eastern - doesn't sound good for Sandy?

Sounds good for the Falcons then soupy! Did Dangerfield play? :D

I never worry much about practice match form. Sides try a lot of things, test players and all that. The story about Sandringham doesn't sound great, hopefully they show a bit next Sunday against Calder. They're meant to be at their best early in the year before school footy starts!

Pat was with AIS in WA along with Suban. Agree re praccy's - big thumbs up to rebels for effort - hugely depleted side in talent and numbers so heart of the side is good when a lot of players IMO, pull it out to play tall. No Hooper either - rested.

Won't get too excited about falcons just yet - its a long season and we saw how last year went and that was supposedly a good side too.

Really? He was in the previous intake of AIS kids, didn't realise they made the trip over too. So guys like Hartlett, Cornelius, Gaertner, Daye, etc went over to Perth as well?

oh...me thinks I got it wrong....just lumped his absence for the same reason without thinking it through - I stand corrected - thanks for your gentle redirection

Gee how did they manage to get 47 players thru 5 quarters! that would have to be tough to do, for the players and coaches.... It'll be interesting on the weekend as the falcons play the rebels again, only difference being this one actually counts!

i heard Dangerfield went over to play a praccy match for West Adeliade in the SANFL cause its school holidays. would find it hard to believe he went over to perth again, perhaps your mistaken for Cordy? who are the ones to watch for the falcons this year soupy?

Dangerfield did play for West Adelaide on the weekend.

team effort, best teamwork seen for a while at Stingrays. Best was probably Ferraro and Smith, Gaertner kicked 3 in first half at FF then went to ruck, Purves looked dangerous and was impressed with Bottom ager name Heddles and Scully was Scully

Great news this.
Pleased to see that Scully impressed as well.

HBF is a mod because they need reinforcements on the Carlton board after losing to Richmond in Round 1. Trolling to ensue. :p
