Pat Dangerfield
Geez they were pretty dependant on their top agers (and two 19 year olds) last year, they lost three bottom agers to the draft but luckily for them will get Dangerfield back.
They had a few guys in the VC U16s last year who go alright, they'll need them to step up and I suppose they'll find a few players who have played senior Hampden League, GFL or BFL footy that can come in and have an impact.
To me the Falcons are the unknown right now. Excluding any 19 year olds they might list, I think they only have three players returning as top age players who have played more than 10 TAC Cup games. Thats not much experience.
Thats the unknown isnt it? But the Falcons will probably need them to step in and have an impact straight off.will it help them or not ???

Donohue and Steven being taken as bottom age players in last year's draft eats into their depth - those two averaged 40 possessions a game between them last year and if you account for natural improvement they'd probably have picked up a combined average of 50 this year if playing as top agers. Isn't easy to find bottom age players who come in and play their roles and win as much ball as they did.
Whatever happens they will have Cunnington, Gavin, Bartlett and Christensen for two years as they're ineligible for this years draft, so they wont have the problem of losing all their bottom age guns again this year.
Yeah they were definately only allowed two last year, but someone said on here a few weeks back that AFL Victoria have increased it to three.Geelongs top agers are Luke Delaney, Chris Lynch and Nick Sutcliffe - so they get 3 - I was under the impression they were only allowed 2.
Falcons are playing 2 practice games on Saturday at Skilled against Eastern. U/17 at 1pm and 18's at 3pm. 4 x 15 min qtrs each game due to expected hot conditions
Any Praccy matches today? some times and venues would be appreciated.
Eastern Playing Geelong at skilled today, would love some results, notes about the game. especially on Ben Griffiths
Had a look at Jets V Cannons and the Jets were extremely disappointing. Seemed pretty much at full strength minus Mitch Banner and were beaten by a Cannons side who were missing German, White, Tsdarkis, Short, McKernan and played Trengove for a half. Hard to find a lot of positives for the Jets though it was good to see Dimmartino run around although he has put on a bit of fat that needs to go. The Cannons have a good 19 year old prospect in Patrick Hayes who is a legitimate CHB. They have a couple of talls who seem to move well- Fewster in the ruck has good hands, Tydell at FB was solid and strong and a bloke by the name of Serhat Temel played at FF and was extremely strong on the lead. Reminds me of Tim Bongetti. The Cannons assembly line looks like continuing and David Flood looked very happy after today's game.
