Is it possible for a team to come 6-12 and the coach be awarded coach of the year? What Dew has been able to achieve in such a short time is impressive.

I'm a big GC and GWS fan and support AFLs expansion, to make a truly Australian sport and Australian league. However looking at GC last year and I was thinking this is getting ugly in terms of survival. Being competitive again, GC are halfway there in terms of the journey. The other half will take 20-40 years, just as it did for the Sydney Swans and even WA.

Most don't know WA was a rugby state and AFL took 30-40 years to establish itself as the number 1 sport.

They ARE a destination for talent (Lobbe, Hill, Hogan, McCarthy etc).
They DO have heaps of members.
And they DO have top facilities.

And they still underachieve..

Are those players that good? Don’t seem like your consummate professionals?
