Care to explain to me how the recent Port game was a choke but our GF loss game wasn't?

Anybody know much about the young kid that won the alan stewart medal for the eagles u18 side is he in the draft this year ?

Williaston were smashing the minor premiers south gawler 59 to 0 then stopped. South gawler got up by 6 points to win the flag. Former central player josh waldhuter got injured and didn't play much in the second half which really hurt them.

Williaston had a chance at the end but former sanfl player clinch decided to go sideways instead of putting the goal in the goal square and then the siren went.

South gawler is coached by former dogs player gavin Chaplin and williaston is coached by Andrew jarman.

South were the best side all year, but also a 10 goal lead at “home” in a GF and then losing is a choke. There’s no other way to sugar coat it

A different sort of choke, but sure. As far as result goes though it feels right. Just one of those games where everything goes right for the underdog early and when the little stuff starts to go the other way they get spooked. A particularly extreme case!

A better example would be 2008 afl GF, or the bombers in the 99 prelim. Best teams by a mile, both still kicking themselves decades later.

He's been an outstanding junior right through the junior pathways, Captained the SA U17's SA State team so not eligible for this years draft, solidly built ball magnet inside midfielder already 184cm 84kg, along with Kobe Ryan and a shedload of other talented lads should ensure 2022's draft will heavily feature SA talent.
