List clogger. Need to do a Jenkins style trade with someone.
Agree I really don't see any need for Seedsman anymore, but I am betting he stays on in 2021. Although if Nicks is correct and we are going to be very active in this year's trade period than it could be a possibility. I have heard that before though, always say we'll be active and nothing happens.

We were last year..... Outgoings of course

I remember someone asking how we get Burgess out of Melbourne if he's only been there a year.

I'm not sure if we knew this but the Foxfooty website this morning mentioning that he only ever signed a 1 year contract with them.

Chief executive Gary Pert is currently reviewing the football department and foxfooty.com.au understands more personnel changes are on the cards across the next month. Football boss Josh Mahoney is under pressure, while Adelaide is chasing fitness guru Darren Burgess, who signed a one-year deal when he arrived last summer.

No it doesn't

Hately is out of contract and we have the number 1 pick in the PSD, they either accept a moderate deal or he'll walk to us for free.

The fact that we finished bottom puts the Giants in the worst possible position with this and what also hurts them is that Hately hasn't exactly set the world on fire thus far so his value is low.

We'll most probably give them Pick 20 in a take it or leave it scenario.
Holy crap, I hope you're not doing the negotiation.

Yeah Saints can make Taranto their number 1 target all they like....it aint happening with 2 years left to run at GWS.

He loves the place too. Very strange this came out, presumably from Saints camp.

If they want a big bodied mid to help out Steele then I can think of one available.
Maybe they should have a look at Brad Crouch

Given that him and Nicks spent quite some time together whilst at PAFC (2012-2017), can see Nicksy being in his ear!

I was in favor of moving on both Saunders and Hass in favor of a single consolidated role at a cheaper price but was criticized for it last time.

We can't keep both Saunders and Hass or another head of fitness on the payroll. It's too much investment into an area that should be headed by one guy. Either promote Saunders into that role permanently, or move him on. Obviously Hass has to go.

In my opinion it seems like we brought Saunders on board full time to solve the Kangatech issues but then bizarrely made Kangatech optional so we're not even getting a great return in that area. Seems like a waste of money.

My preference is to sack Hass, make Saunders a part-time consultant to work with players like McPherson on specialist medical areas like hamstring issues, then hire a new head of fitness to properly manage that department

Isn't one position about fitness and the other about injury prevention and recovery?

The trouble is Saunders is probably more focused on injury prevention and management, rather than pure high performance.

The trouble is we invested in Burton/Hass as our High Performance guys, neither of whom were particularly well credentialed for such a highly sought after role. They were quite capable of smashing players from a fitness perspective, but didn't understand the art of also preventing injury at the same time. Its a really complex balance between gaining maximum performance and preventing injuries, whilst also then rehabing those with injuries and the transition back.

There's a significant cross over in the roles. The fitness guys need to incorporate injury prevention/recovery into their program. Ideally your fitness guys have a really good understanding of both fitness and injury prevention and can work well with your pre-existing rehab guys. We ended up having to create a new role for Saunders, to bring him in and bridge the gap.

The NO DISCUSSION thread needs some week bans thrown out. How bloody hard is it to read the thread title AND NOT COMMENT?

Every time a new rumour is posted someone can't help themselves.
I can understand why, it seems counterproductive to have a no discussion thread on a social media platform.
I can also understand why people want a no discussion thread, so people can get rumours without having to trawl through 8 pages of whether tobacco and alcohol are as bad as cocaine

For all those people who still can't figure out the DISCUSSION / NO DISCUSSION thread thing. This is how I navigate that complex problem.

1) I ask myself; "Am I in the Henley Beach Cafe?" If Yes; Comment. If No. Don't Comment.
2) Refer to point 1
