in order to get a 3rd Atkins wage will need to fall between 15% and 30% when you add the 10 bonus age pionts that will move the upper limit of band 3 to around 35% and if he is tied the 4 years pushing up the order,
450 comes Close to a Band 3 along with his 10 Bonus Points, 400k band 4

After our primary mids, Sloane, Crouch x 2, Laird, Keays and ROB then Murphy, guess who's next in tackle averages for 2020? Only Matt averages more than 1 extra per game. I bet you're still right though.
I always thought Saunders was injury management, not fitness program design.

Steve completed his PhD in 2007 at the University of Queensland investigating the motor control mechanisms underlying control of the lumbo-pelvic region during human locomotion in normal and low back pain subjects. He has published works in internationally peer-reviewed journals and continues to develop management strategies based on scientific evidence-based practice.
Steve’s combined background in scientific research and elite athlete/patient care has facilitated the development of KangaTech, a world leading injury prevention and performance system. Crouch’s drug controversy, where he was caught with cocaine in a cab alongside teammate Tyson Stengle, was horrific timing for the free agent.
He apologised on Thursday for his conduct and said he needed to regain the lost respect.
Geelong would need to tick off his recruitment with its board and senior players given the worries over his character.
But list managers and players managers across the competition do not believe it will seriously impact his capacity to find a home given he is far from the only player to have used drugs in an off-season.
ATKINS OFF TO GOLD COAST AS CROWS COOL ON BIG-BODIED MIDFIELDER
Adelaide’s interest in Gold Coast extractor Will Brodie has waned as the club prepares for a compensation pick for departing free agent Rory Atkins.
The Suns will secure unrestricted free agent Atkins on a four-year with a fifth season, with the guaranteed aspect of the contract likely to hand Adelaide a second or third-round compensation selection.
Atkins also had some Victorian suitors but has been committed to the Suns for some time after playing only four games for Adelaide in 2020.
The Crows could still recoup two compensation selections in the national draft if Crouch leaves but are still threatening to match any offer that does not net them a first-round compensation pick for last year’s best-and-fairest winner.
The Crows had been linked to Brodie given his exceptional clearance skills but are not believed to be serious suitors for the former top-10 pick.
CROWS CLOSING IN ON THEIR GIANT TARGET
Everything points to Adelaide securing GWS midfielder Jackson Hately in a trade after only two seasons at the Giants.
GWS is still optimistic it might hold onto second-year draftees Caldwell and Xavier O’Halloran but Hately’s home-town links will make it hard to keep him.
The Giants recruited a band of inside mids when it seemed one of Josh Kelly, Jacob Hopper or Stephen Coniglio might leave but they all stayed and then academy pick Tom Green turned into a young star and they took him at pick 10.

Just saw in the No Discussion thread that the Crows have apparently cooled on Will Brodie. Might be a sign that we are closing in on Hately....

Probably because Jackson is an easier get and younger...and it seems by everything you read he's committed to us already and unlike the Victorian Brodie doesn't have the same interest from Victorian based clubs?

I would suspect we had a list of available big bodied mids that we had our eye on. His name would have certainly been on it. Like I said above, the article above leads me to believe we've made our decision as to which one we want to put an offer in front of!

Look I really hope we can get Hately to the club but so far he has not said boo to a grasshopper as far as I have seen about wanting to come back here (no articles quoting him at all or any comment from his club other than what McCartney came out with a little while back). On the main board it seems he might have a Sydney based girlfriend. I suppose I am just cautious that we might be setting up for disappointment on this one

Do people in his position generally talk to the media before finals?
I really don’t understand why we would be so keen on Hately. We apparently had no interest 2 years ago, passed on him in the draft and he has had 2 very underwhelming seasons since. With midfielders like Finn Macrae, Tom Powell And Caleb Poulter likely to be available to us in the 15 - 25 band where we should have several picks then I just don’t see the value for us.

Well, no interested and rated Jones higher aren't the same. Hately did go before our McHenry pick and that draft was much stronger than this one.
He's done ok, was producing in the NEAFL at a pretty good click (26.6 disp/6 marks/5.5 tackles last year), and got a handful of games in one of the most talent-laden sides out and has certainly been on the high end of rising stars in terms of per-game averages, seeing he's top 10 in about 7 categories that aren't fantasy football related (at most clubs, Hately would be on 40 games by now). Just needs a new home, clear run at settling into a midfield spot and will be knock up 200 games before you know it (providing he stays injury-free), especially as Adelaide are desperate for inside talent even before we contemplate losing Brad.
There is a damn good reason he went first round in that draft, and we should be getting him cheaper than the 15-25 band. Probably more around 31-40 seeing we hold the old PSD card.

I think it is because we can still get a group of those guys in too and really stock up our midfield on 1st round talent (incl Hately if he comes). Hypothetically look at the midfield from 2022

Shoenberg
Hollands (highly likely)
Hately (if we do end up trading for him)
2021 Mid (likely from the top 6 in that draft)
maybe 1 or 2 more mids from this draft
Edwards (maybe)
That is a real depth of mids with some experience and plenty of youth and potential
Hately went not long after we took Jones and I dare say if he was there at the McHenry pick he would have been a crow 2 years ago
