Love the show. I listen every Saturday Morning.

As for respect from the east, who gives a crap? I couldn't care less what they think of us.

I'll take 'quite well' as a compliment - thanks Kram81 ;)
I tuned in this morning and thought the show was very entertaining and deliciously parochial. It's cool to hear the hosts using the the words "us" and "we" when referring to Freo. Someone on the show drew a comparison between Ibbo and Hughes which is spot on and hadn't occurred to me previously. I wish you guys had of pressed Webb a little harder about Ballard, I would just like a little bit of insight on how the club views his performances and whether they see a future for him at the club.
Keep up the good work, I'll certainly be telling the Freo faithfuls that I know to listen in next week. :D

That was Bridget Lacy from The West - she's very astute. She also made me laugh out loud when she asked Rick Hart if we win the premiership if he might invite the players up to his farm again like he did back in 2006.

We had Marc Webb on last week too, and I did ask him about Jacob Ballard and he said he's a good hard worker who's developing nicely. There's probably not a lot that the development coaches say that we couldn't guess anyway what they would say. Party line and all that - but if there's any particular questions that anyone here wants asked, I'm happy to bring it up. I'll try to remember to ask the Ballard question next week. :)

Hey IP, I would love to hear his thoughts on Moller. What clicked this year that makes him now look such an exciting prospect.

Think there was a Moller question last week too - along the lines of now that Griff is in the seniors and Clarke was the travelling emergency would this help Moller's development? He was pretty positive, but I'll try and ask that more specifically next time. If we get Simon Eastaugh next week it would be good as he's the ruck coach so he'll have some very good insight on Moller.

IP, I wouldn't mind hearing a bit about Hurley. I think he is our first go at taking on an international rookie so maybe Webb could give some feedback on the program he is on and whether Freo will continue exploring options overseas.
I also wouldn't mind hearing about his progress and some of the challenges he faces playing a foreign game and whether they see him as a forward or a back.

I don't watch The Footy Show - what did Hodge say?

But yeah Grape Bear is right, until we win a flag not much will change unfortunately. It'd be good to get someone from the Vic media on to get their perspective. I put that question to Seppo a couple of weeks back - he reckons the talk is all Hawthorn, and everyone else is playing for second.
Paraphrasing as it was last week: Hodge said that Crowley just goes on ground to punch everyone. Poor Sandi didn't know what to say - just laughed.

IP, I made a point of listening last Saturday. Kept reminding myself to tune in at 9. Really enjoyed it and learned lots about our players. Will do my best to do same from now on. What is your purpose - discuss players and tactics or do you also become more political and discuss tribunal results? if that is the case I guess there will be lots more to discuss next Saturday!

Cheers - glad you enjoyed it. :) General format of the show is review last week's game; preview upcoming game; chat to one of the development coaches about last week's Peel game and the upcoming Peel game, as well as the upcoming Freo game; then have some news and and an injury report. I would think that the tribunal stuff will come into the news part of things - but given the time restraints, there probably isn't enough time to go into it in too much detail. Plus there's a station policy of no bagging opposition teams or umpires... ;)

BTW - my mum's name is Valma.

This week we'll be talking to Simon Eastaugh (ruck and development coach); and with it being a Melbourne game, Seppo will also join us on the line. :)

I'll make sure to ask the questions regarding Moller and Hurley - time permitting of course.

Listen in @ 9am tomorrow (Saturday) - 91.3 SportFM on your radio, or stream it on their website, or via the TunedIn app. :thumbsu:

Great show. Thanks for the Hurley questions. Estaugh was a really good guest, I haven't heard him speak before. I thought his answers were quite
expansive considering they were coming from someone from inside the club. It also sounds like Ballard is developing well and has a future with Freo.

First thanks and your welcome. :) And yeah I agree - I was just saying as we were leaving that while Marc Webb is a good interviewee, Simon Eastaugh is very open and great to talk to. You feel like you're getting a bit more from him than you do from Webb.

If you weren't listening to Talking Dockers this Sat Aug 22nd at 9am on 91.3 SportFM you missed a great interview with Simon Eastaugh Dockers ruck and development coach where he discussed Peel's game V East Perth and how our young Docker players fared. He also was very insightful in how we are going to get over Nth Melb on Sunday. Moreover, you missed John Separovich Dockers Victorian cheer squad and his very passionate and confident thoughts about how we will finish all over Nth Melb.

Sorry but I missed this weeks show, what were the comments he made about Ballard (who was very impressive in the later game) and Moller (also very impressive).

Sorry freoextra - forgot to reply. Check the podcast, I can't really remember now. Both Simon Eastaugh and Marc Webb have some good things to say about Ballard, would be very surprised if he's not on the list again next year.

Also to everyone - speaking of Marc Webb, he's the main interviewee this week, so have a listen in. I won't be in cos I've completely lost my voice, but I'm hoping that someone will ask what the repercussions for Peel's finals campaign will be if Freo rest a raft of players for round 22.

91.3 SportFM 9am Saturday - Talking Dockers. :)

I also enjoy getting the thoughts from other die hards so I read this forum a lot to pick up my information. I rarely comment nowadays cause of the time difference. Most of you are freakin' crazy BTW!

I was torn when listening to the 22/08/2015 podcast. It has some great information and everything is clear, soundwise, and easy to listen to as you would want from a podcast.

One constructive criticism from me though (I do realise you are not all professionals in the field) would be to stop saying the word um, all the time. I only just made it through the first two minutes (guessing 70 ums in 120 seconds) to be honest. I paused it and went and got myself a stiff drink it erked me that much. I got through to 9 minutes then a lady went to name 5 players with elite disposal.

"I'd start with um Hill um Mundy um Johnson, Walters er Pav most of the time um Ibbotson........

Sorry, could not go any further than this.

Normally I wouldn't even bother raising this and just not listen again but this info is close to my heart and want it to succeed. Hopefully this is taken in the right manner, I need to work on my personal hygeine apparently. ;)

LoL - it has been a cross to bear (the name that is), although you do get used to it :-).

Love your station's format. I started and ran a small, country, school-based radio station for five years. It is still going two years after I retired. The balance between controversy, information, and not offending any of the audience was always one that teenagers found challenging. I love radio as a medium. It is the best. Are there podcasts should I miss a Saturday morning? Good luck with your show.:-)
