Thought I was having a nightmare, but woke up to hear Caroline Wilson on the radio telling us that Robert Walls, Bruce McAvaney and herself will be the ones on Talking Footy this year. Looks like I have to find something else to do on Monday nights now. One or even two of them may have been alright (but I.m not sure about that even) but the three of them altogether at the one time in the one place, well if I did watch them that would be a nightmare.

Just great. They are going to have Mr Bordom himself on there, R. Walls. They should put Talking Footy on earlier at night that way I can get some extra sleep. That's what Walls will do, PUT EVERYONE TO SLEEP!!!!!

Who is worse, Caroline Wilson or Mike?? Gee tough one, at least we could bag Mike.. What do you think?????

youve got to be joking.......gee things couldnt be any worse....what a super way to start the week....
On saturday i was absolutely rapt to read that bruce was back....i reckon the shows really missed him... but after this my jubilation has turned completely sour....
Dont know if i would even bother to watch it now.......
Maybe thats the whole idea...just another hidden agenda from channel 7 to get us all to turn off footy... in readiness for next year...

gee i feel like im in total disarray after this news......

At least its not Tim Watson.
personally I think it will be fine.Bruce is informative.Robert Walls being out of the game for a few years is not afraid to speak his mind, and a lady on the couch, who happens to know what she is talking about.
Sounds ok to me.
Now we just need for the Channel 7 boffins in Queensland t put it on before midnight.
Fat chance there.

I don't care as long as Caroline Wilson brings plenty of Richmond bias to the show!

"THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!"

The up herself, arrogant little turdette, butt ugly Caroline Wilson on TV!

Sandra Sully and Ten News have got themselves a new viewer.

Seven have no idea about football do they?

I might be in the minority here but i will still be watching, Bruce Mcavaney is a true professional and will keep the other two honest. Robert Walls wouldnt have been my first choice but he wont be too bad, Mike Sheehan will be a huge loss, dont often agree with him but hes always entertaining. Caroline Wilson tries to be controversial so ill give her a chance to prove herself. Fresh faces may be what the show needs in its last year. Besides anything with footy in it ill watch. Cheers

All that brown-nosing to Channel $even over the years has finally paid off for Wilson.

Who can forget that piece she wrote in late December when Seven first 'lost' the rights. Brought tears to my eyes! Footy's rightful home is Seven etc, etc

I thought dog's weren't allowed on the couch?

Well Wilson is sleeping with a high-profile Seven person so that is how she got her job.
Wouldn't expect her to write anything against Seven would you? All Seven is god's gift to television tripe.

I thought TALKING FOOTY was shithouse last year but this year will be worse.
Gerard Healy and Mike Sheahan was crap and I'm glad they've been sacked.
How could they put Walls and Wilson on [Mr & Mrs Boredom

I guess all those years of never bagging channel seven have finally paid of for Wilson.

In'65 tension was running high at my high school,There was a lot of fights between the black and white,There was nothin you could do,Two cars at a light on a saturday night in the back seat there was a gun, words were passed in a shot gun blast,Troubled times had come to my hometown

Caroline Wilson (on AFL commission etc matters) and Robert Walls (on footy matters) are not afraid to speak their minds. With the AFL-& unholy alliance now broken it could be an interesting show. Bruce will Hold it together. ( I wonder if they'll be allowed to show actual footage after this year)
Most other commentators follow the AFL 'party line' it's like listening to politicians.

A "fresh" face she is not. Butt-ugly more likely.

When did Robert Walls ever speak his mind ? Every player is "terrific" and every game he sees is "terrific". He has been tiptoeing around issues ever since he got the arse from the Tigers. The only thing he has ever said which would qualify as speaking his mind, would be his occasional attacks on Denis Pagan's coaching ability, and what a laugh that was, given his (Walls') shithouse record as a coach.

Caroline Wilson has no credibility at all as a football commentator, and she has a head like a robber's dog, so I certainly won't be watching. Bruce the Goose just rounds it out nicely.

Examples:

Caroline wilson was on the report about how the AFL commission is rotten on business sunday last year. We all agree but most comentators will quickly change the subject when it gets close to some areas.

Robert walls went on record saying the Saints players had got rid of Stan Alves so it was time for them to prove themselves....which they have not.

Having a go at 'car' over her looks sounds a bit 'sexist' to me. I hope I am wrong.

And Perhaps Tony Leaonard did not get more of a go on this show because He isn't ... let me see... Visually appealing...Its a shame because he's one of the more entertaining commentators around. If I was CH9 I'd be signing him up quicksmart.

Turn it up when has Wilson ever gone hard at the AFL? It's her ambition to become the first female AFL commissioner, she's just another Seven/AFL lapdog like Sheahan was.

At least Bruce has a bit of enthusiasm, making watching Talking Footy more enjoyable, unlike Gerard Healy who has the charisma of a house brick!

All you who say the won't be watching it - yeah right! You are all Football junkies and will get your fix whenever possible.

I don't kid myself - I know that I would be watching it even if it was hosted by Humphrey Bear, a goalpost and Patrick Smith.
