When trading i dont think previous managers have been mindful to the fact you have to have bigs to play in Key positions etc. Should we start a re confirmation thread to make sure all are on board for the off season? Also trying to drag another person in at the sane time?

Not sure any of us here have sane time. I'm crazy most of my waking hours.

I don't mind those two and especially in the situation where you have no-one else to play. It's the 'Zac Dawson' on the bench and 'Paul Duffield' at full back that gets me (I only used those names as examples).
Good because not only did Zac Dawson not play in my 18 this year (given I have Rowe, May, Hartigan and Schofield ahead), but Paul Duffield was never named at full back ;)
I get what you guys mean and at times through injuries and lack of depth I didn't have key forwards all the time. But this day in age playing a Jake Stringer or Jack Gunston at FF isn't really a stretch where once they would of been pure flankers.
If I had either of those guys, they'd be playing at FF and CHF, and I doubt anyone would complain about them being named there. It's more Easton Wood and Andrew Mackie types being named as keys that is wrong.

I was very worried I might offend someone.

I think we should all just list all the players we are planning on playing in key positions after the off-season period is done. If there are any complaints (eg. you can't have Gwilt at full-back, he's doesnt play there), we put it to a league wide vote.

What annoyed me was that I went out of my way to pick up extra KPPs to make sure I had enough which cut my point scoring potential. Then I played teams that didn't have KPPs and I lost by slim margins.

I like your idea loopy cam in terms of nominating players to play KPP roles but it's hard in terms of where you draw the line. Jack Gunston could be a FF and have Dane Rampe playing on him but does anyone consider Rampe a key defender ? I like the idea though so people can't just play a team full of midfielders. I'm sure if a team gets a crazy amount of injuries something can be arranged when it comes to playing guys out of position.

That's why we have the voting system. That way we know for sure if Gunston is allowed or not.

Perhaps we should even do it before the off-season period so that everyone can fix up their lists if they need to?

Ok my team has no real key postion players or rucks at all (maybe 1) so looking to trade them in. But in doing so I want to make sure the line up scores are gonna be enforced. PS send ur wish list through

I have an excess of KPD, willing to send one for a young mid.

Maybe we need to have players positions classified in the team lists thread so when trading for players you'll know whether they will be able to fill the FB, CHB, FF, CHF positions etc.

I've always been unsure on Lumumba, Paparone and Mayne, although I don't have Mayne anymore.

That's a good idea

I 'm still of the belief that players should be tagged as KPFs or KPDs before the start of trading. Rucks for that matter also.

Ysing the Adelaide Lions as an example the following would be tagged as being able to play in FF, CHF, CHB, FB

KPFs: Aaron Black, Joe Daniher, Cameron Pederson, Ryan Schoenmakers
KPDs: Harris Andrews, Jake Carlisle, Lynden Dunn, Jayden Foster, Jake Lever, Sam B Reid, Andrew Walker

And in the ruck
RCKs: Tom Campbell, Ivan Maric, Trent West

And there may be a couple of KPDs and KPFs that could play in the ruck as well.

My ruck division is looking a bit threadbare incidentally. Anyone got a spare fringe ruck they want to trade?

Walker is most certainly not a KPD
