Social Science Tall men - do you find shorter men try and start you?

It's extremely, extremely rare for a random person to start any type of altercation with you once, so if it happens to you semi-regularly, it's not them, it's you.

I disagree- surely those one punch victims, who have died- barely did anything. The one up in Eltham was just trying to break up a fight, and that arsehole king hits him from behind.

Then has the audacity to whinge about the length of his sentence, what was it 7-10 years? ******* lucky if you ask me, if I was Judge Shell, he'd be away for 20 at least the dumb prick.

So yeah my point is, sometimes there are innocent victims.

End rant :)

Those things are extremely rare tho. Considering how often people go out and interact socially and how many people do that.

When I worked in the pub bottleshopv(oh hai Crowy) everyone used to have a go at the short bouncer. Think he was 14-2 as a pro boxer back in South Africa so he never had any problems. Was weird, like I said to him surely if you're short and a bouncer they'd figure you know how to fight.

Also we had this tall bouncer one night, probably 6 foot 5 or 6, came into the bottle-o and told me how he took on 6 blokes at Young and Jacksons and came up trumps. Anyway there was trouble that night and this short fella broke his nose ha ha

At a function in my last job, it ended in a brawl. When we looked at the cctv later, it seemed like there'd been a signal to start it but couldn't prove it. A wife of one of the managers was glassed in the face and someone else was stabbed with the metal shaft of a placecard holder.

It happens.

Yeah I agree with that.

But tell the parents of blokes who have died from that, they might react slightly different to you and me

I still remember a BF poster on here- his wife- was a photographer for weddings etc- so late nights.

This one night she was getting srsly harrassed by this bloke- like full on. I cannot believe with how much she put up with tbh- he had to come around there when she was knocking off, to escort her to her car, can you ******* believe. I told him he should have smashed the campaigner out.

/yes i know irony, considering what I just wrote before. Still.. just makes me mad a woman cant do a job without the threat of sexual violence and her husband has to go "rescue" her.

All the drama I've seen where it's ended up in an altercation has been around alcohol and in crowds or at a function. I've seen one biggie that erupted at a wedding, people get stupid around booze.

One where I was crossing at the pedestrian on the main street which was embarrassing, as I was halfway over this driver decided to try and give me a fright which she did, revved up her car and accelerrated across so I had jump a step. I called her something and she slammed the brakes on, unfolded herself out of the car and she was huge! I thought oh chit ... LOL. Then her girlfriends started to get out of the car, the cow took a swing at me. I ended up with scars on my arms from that. I think they'd been at the pub.

It's often something quite ridiculous and small (and an idiot just looking for an excuse) that any rational human should let slide but I swear I've never ever seen a fight start out anywhere over literally nothing.

As you get older, you get wiser. Young blokes are more prone to fall into it.

In King Street one night, I saw a guy stabbed in the back of the neck with something. Like it came out of nowhere, hit and run. Poor bloke, didnt even realise he'd been stabbed, he kept walking and put his hand to the back of his neck as if it was a minor irritation. Blood was actually pulsing out of it.

Actually, he was was probably about 6'2". Quite tall.

This is a good attack strategy when fighting a taller man

Not saying there aren't innocent victims but if you're an innocent victim 3 or 4 or 5 times then you need to have a look at why you are so unlucky for it to keep happening.

Yeah I know.

That doesn't make it any better when you or someone you love are the rare one that cops it.
