Tambling = Wasted Draft Pick

Why do Richmond think that flashy players are going to win them a Premiership, instead of getting Pavlich we got Fiora, instead of getting Buddy Franklin we got Tambling. Solid tough midfielders and big tall forwards win Premierships, no team of flashy mid sized show pony's have ever or will ever win a premiership.

For a number 4 draft pick you have to be have better skills and more determination than Tambling shows, I know its only his 3rd year but he has not shown anything to suggest that he will even be half as good as Deledio.

Just because you are a star at under-18 does not translate in being able to cut it in the AFL. These small quick aboriginal players like Tambling, JON, Krakour do not play a full game of football and are unreliable when you need regularly need a hard midfielder or a small crumber to kick 3-4 goals a game.

For all our years of on field misery the only worthwhile high draft pick we ever got is Deledio.

-Franklin instead of Tambling
-Monfries instead of Meyer
-Jones (from Melb) instead of JON

Not prepared to write off Tambling and Meyer yet but if they dont show vast improvement this year, then it is open season on them.

Grow up mate he has one bad game in a glorified practice game and you want his head on a chopping block.Bling was just rusty he'll come good and he didn't have a bad year last year.

Geez lets all write off tambling!! He had 2 or 3 bad kicks but otherwise i thought he was alright today. At least he found the ball!! I am not prepared to write Tambling off after 2 seasons (1 very interupted season) and one game

As for the franklin comment, he has been good but hardly a star yet, lets wait 5 years.

Anything outstanding that he produces before 2008ish is a bonus.

This is why we get ******** from other supporters, for being such bad losers. We got beaten by a team that would have probably beaten any team in the comp with the way they played today, hardly missed a target all day.

Amidst all your rubbish posts, there is always one or two with a bit of common sense. Agree with this one.

Patience fella's, they've played 30-40 games and we're expecting brownlows already. Franklins an abbo too isnt he... and although it hasnt been that widely published... he's a trouble maker and wait for him to go missing.

It will be a blessing in disguise we didnt pick him up.

Yeah and I am sure that Hawthorn wish they had of taken Judd instead of Hodge but that is the way the dice rolls you moron.

First off Jones is a good player but once JON puts on a bit more weight he will absolutley blitz opponents and may even turn out to be one of the better picks from that draft.

Danny Meyer is going to become a good player once he is moved to one position and I would predict that to be the forward line, his goal against the Cats today was fantastic, and he has done that a few other times during his carrer, if we play our cards right we will have an excact replacement for Nathan Brown once he retires.

Tambling well maybe we stuffed that pick up, but there isn't anything we can do about it now, lets chuck him in the midfield for more than one game and see how he goes, and get behind him to help his confidence a bit.

There isn't much use complaining about lost players and picks, just get behind this RFC bandwagon and push us towards a premiership in 07', 08' or 09'.
