I was just generalizing that these and similar clubs have far better fitness and condition coaches then us.

Tambling's problem has always been overcoaching...when are people going to wake the f**k up and realise most our younger talent are not performing to their best of their ability 4 quarters, week in week out because of the coaching staff....Deledio is still two years behind where he should be ..which is being mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Franklin, Judd etc...forget about Buddy too...he'd still be in & out playing at Coburg under Wallace...and Tambling would be a star at Hawthorn and they'd be giving us the same crap , but with the names rerversed...if anything Wallace needs to go before he sets Cotchin back years as well...

Hawks were mad keen on him before we changed our plan and decided to go for big forwards.

You guys need a key forward/with some presence.

Potentially if you add one big forward to go with Hughes and then have Morton and Riewlodt as the X factors you are starting to look the goods.

Hawks need an outsider with pace to replace Crawford and compliment Sewell Hodge Mitchell and Lewis?

Boyle Thorp and Dowler cant get a look in at Hawthorn at the moment.

Tamblings problem is his work ethic and applied intensity! Needs some tips from the likes of King, White and Foley our ex rookie listed players, they have work ethic.

I dont get this idea that he is lazy?? Is it because he is aboriginal and easy to spot on the field so you notice him more when he jogs??

I've seen Deledio, Foley, Brown most of the side jog after opposition players yet never see them criticized to the same extent as tambling.

I would also disagree about his intensity he almost goes in too hard and fast and trips over himself and others and bounces of players when trying to tackle. His tackling technique us terrible, especially from front on and his body strength is not up to the required level.

Thorpe is more of a CHB.

Dowler is a copy of Hughes, a lead up forward.

Besides Tambling will go to you and become a star. He has star qualities and cotchin and deledio would be the only other players with more natural talent. Just that something is very wrong with our football department.

Today was the day my defending of him ceased, simply not worth it. Offer him up at trade week in the hope that we can snare another first round pick even if it is a late pick at that. Sure we've put 4 years into him and another club might get the benefit from it but enough is enough, we might just land ourselves a player who is prepared to actually do the hard things instead of being a wishy-washy one way player.

At one point Tambling got beaten by Matty Kreuzer in a ground level contest.

Seems like a one trick pony, only position for him is midfield, however with Cotchin (who looks like an absolute gun), Deludio, Foley and whoever else you have running around in there, where's the value of Tambling? His off the ball stuff ain't that flash

Exactly....I said the same thing last week in regards to Oakly-Nicholls when someone defended him by saying he was still feeling the effects of an injury.
Once you agree to play, injuries become irrelevant.

Yes you were. For the record, I have long defended Tambling (do the research) but he was pathetic yesterday. Would not have broken a sweat. Needs to go to the 2s and earn a game for once in his career, with a string of dominant performances, like other blokes have to.
I'm also a champion of JON and I had Maurice Rioli's 17 on my Esso training top as a kid. And I'd drop Johnson, Hyde and King too. Is that "blaming the blackfella"?

Wasnt saying its an excuse. Was stating that something had to be done about his body size. He should not still be this under weight and under muscled. I think it shows how much we as a club are behind the West coasts, brisbanes, collingwood, adelaides, carltons and hawthorns.

every team has these types who just wont ever be big framed, that doesnt stop them from playing. His lack of size and physical development is not the issue, you can either play or you cant regardless of size

seriously speaking hes played 67 games or so and realistically about 7-8 have been par.

I wanted to give this guy time and i did, lovely fellow, great character to have around the club, but the penny dropped this season after the Nth game, this kid will never cut it like some believe.
