Tambling.

Coming from supporting a club that has continually drafted the aboriginal kids I can understand your frustration with Tambling. And to be honest upfront I don’t watch enough Tiger games to really have the complete picture but saying that every time I watch Tambling I feel he has some Dean Rioliitis in him. Meaning mentally he just switches on and off, unfortunately this isn't something you can just 'fix up' on the track, it's a maturity thing and I would almost guarantee the Tigers would be unwise to get rid of him now, he wont mature as a footballer until he is around 23-24 and when he does he looks like the type of footballer that has that 'game breaking' factor in him. The only problem with the development of the tigers list this year in particular can the team wait for him??

Unless you can get a 2nd round pick for him(very unlikely at this stage) I would stick it out.

Tambling actually seemed to be playing a run with role yesterday on Armstrong and Pridis depending on who was on the ball and neither of them had any real impact on the game.
I did notice it based on the fact that I don't really think that is the sort of role that he is suited too.
In saying that, if that is what he was instructed too do then he did it quite well.did

I would want at least a first rounder and a good player for Tambling

i love this kid !! i seriously cant wait for the day when he mature's in a elite footballer !! just to stick it up everyone .. i know alot of people dont see it happening and thats fine .. thats your opinion .. my opinion is that he is going to make it and be a elite midfielder with x factor !! he will play a huge part in us winning a flag and he will win the norm smith !!

Where to begin when it comes to his reading of the ball....SHOCKING. You'd expect him to be at least around abouts, but he's always chasing his opponent. He was constently beaten by various opponent yesterday. ALso didn't take 1 single running bounce, don't like that. And finally not a ONE TOUCH player (mr fumbles).

I hope Tambling gets dropped before Connors, give him a kick up the ass. I'm sick of seeing him jogging behind the play!

Not gonna happen , nore should it happen. Just on fitness alone. The game against the bombers is going to be a gut run a thon and Tambling will be needed to add pressure to their 72 thousand running players. I love Connors but he will not get a run because of fitness. If he's lucky Connors will get a quarter and a half off the bench.

Mario's right about the Half Back Flank being his spot , at least until he fills out more. But in saying that he should be given rolls in the midfield when the opportunity arises as he will be a player. Maybe he needs to do a bit on the ball at Coburg and work on his game but I think the real answer is to just keep playing him and the results will come.

Agree - the indigenous boys usually take longer to play consistent footy (Leon Davis, Chance Bateman, Polly Farmer - well, maybe not Polly Farmer). If Tambling had been drafted by a top team, I'm sure he would have developed faster. Funny thing how some think we can get a first rounder for him yet they don't rate him - that seems a bit of a contradiction.

Don't add stuff in that I didn't write flogjockey!

IT has nothing to do with race

Some of my best friends are coon...I mean nig..I mean abo...errr..indigenous.

Yeah you're standing on solid rock there, mate. How can you sleep when your bed is burning?:o

Yeh, it is just you all right!

We win by nearly 80 points and he hardly touched it!

on the back of what i consider an average game against carlton i watched bling carefully in a replay of the west coast game - On the plus side: a good goal; on the minus side his touches were mostly link up handballs or kicks, barely a tackle, and half hearted chases.

I'm not writing him off, i want him at the club but i'm saying that his form is not that great, and i would rather see anyone not playing well go back to coburg for a spell. If its ok for bowden to spend a few games at coburg, its ok for tambling too.

Most weeks bling might have got away with a game like that but with richo and others to come back into the team someone's gotta go and i think it should be him

This happens with everybody in that when a player is drafted at the pointy end of the draft the supporters have a perceived value attached to the kid, however the reality is if they have played for a few years and other teams get a good look at what sort of player they are potentially trading for then they will only offer equal to, or less than what they think the player is worth as a player, not based on potential or their draft status.

He is starting turn back in to an inside midfielder that he was in underage comps. He has the tools, and is switched on up top. He has the endeavor t succeed and has a great attitude.

Yep lets get rid of him. A 21 year old player that has 68 games and is having the best year of an ever improving career..

Tambling should be traded whilst he has any perceived 'value'. Surely by now everyone realises that he will never turn into that gun midfielder you were hoping for. Unfortunately he hasn't turned into much of anything other than a liability. Watched him closely enough but his laziness is evident. Trade him out this year. Not all top picks end up as good players. Ask Bradley.

You guys would draft him in a heart beat dead beat. He's played 60 games and has a huge career ahead of him and he's not a flash tool like Lovett Murray.

You are kidding your self. As long as he belongs in our top 22 keep playing him. As our team improves so will he. They'll do it together. Richmond can't afford to be giving blokes like Tambling the chop. We can't even afford to be giving half our Coburg players the chop. It takes time.

Got to the stage where he isnt even in your best 22.....we would not draft him and as a supporter I would not want him at our club. Lovett Murray is a much better player then Tambling. You know it too.
