Tambling

just heard about the baby as well on the radio. if its true and he hasn't slept, why the **** did he play, he played probable the worst indvidual performance i have ever watched. He is such a confidence player and todays performance will set him back a year i reckon. worst coaching move if true i have ever heard of.

You could almost see Tambling crumble mentally as he racked up mistakes today, it just seemed to compound through out the match to a point where i just felt for the lad. His confindence, like others on the list ,cant match the expectation placed upon them Pychologicallly our list is brittle and it really shows when pressure is placed on them.

watching the game today i just get this feeling that richard tambling plays like he has the every single richmond and wider afl supporter on his shoulders. You can see it with every little fumble or turnover he just looks like a player who believes what everyone is asaying about him. No good, waste of a draft pick.

I might be a fool but i honestly feel he will flourish at another club. Maybe he's better suited on a half forward/back flank? Forward pocket? maybe playing in the middle isnt his go.

Anyway Richmond will be back one day hopefully for the afl and you guys sooner rather than later.

Wallets is a joke.

(Posted this on another website not more than 20 minutes ago, then found this thread under the 'new posts' - thought it fits. Ries and Ball were Hawthorn players in the early 00's who were one-pace inside mids that we played on the wing as others were better inside).

I actually feel kinda sorry for him.

Not for the Tigers, or Wallace, but for him personally.

As a junior he was highly rated - he was an inside midfielder who had a great knack for getting the pill and finding team-mates, with great tackle-avoiding abilities. He was also pretty strong defensively, but had a body that was 2-3 years development away from being AFL ready. (Compare his body shape when drafted to Foley, or from us McGlynn - both of whom were late picks/rookies after being goodish inside mids at junior level).

Due to his size, and Wallace's need for media, he was thrust into the limelight, playing as an outside midfielder/hff - with little support, no structure, and a team that was struggling to play competitive football.

His best attributes (contest work, ballwinning) weren't required as much as being able to run all day and kick long - neither of which he was at AFL standard.

No delivery, no advice, no innate natural talent at the position he was asked to play.

Remember us when Crawf was our Extractor? When Ries and Ball played off the wing? Only great players can succeed when forced to play out of position, only the truly exceptional when that position is an attacking one in a poorly performed team (Ablett 06 for example).

I've seen him play as the primary inside midfielder twice. Both times he was better than serviceable, at least matching his opponent's output. He's just never played there, something I cannot understand given the makeup of Richmond's midfield the last 3 seasons.

Like Dawson before him - played too young, too early, and in the wrong position for his makeup. Hopefully, unlike Dawson he can find his feet before it's too late. (Or better yet when he's delisted and gets a second chance at another club that can utilise his talents).

Remember, before Tambling, Richmond destroyed Rodan. See what happened when returned to his junior role at Port? 1000x better. The same could be true of Tambling.

Posting that Mario just shows that you have no football knowledge.
Go back to sleeping with that thing Mario.

Anybody that makes an excuse for a senior Richmond player today, doesn't want the standard of the Richmond Football Club to rise.

The chance to smell the Richard Tambling roses has been there since the day he started.

Did you people actually go to the game today?
Bank what you saw, it may help you down the track when you judge future football talent.

Smoke & mirrors...just smoke and mirrors.

using having a baby for his bad performance is the worst excuse i have heard. how many players and coaches have young children. please... dont blame the child. maybe its time to look in the mirror tambling and realise u r not AFL material! i heard the upper murray league is about your standard!

Tambling was ****ing shocking today, but not as half as bad as the ****ing supporters who booed him every time he got the ball. If any of you are here, you are all complete ********s. No wonder he had no confidence. He'd work hard for a mark and then get booed. You think he's going to ****ing try and take the game on after that?

I'm not sticking up for Richie though. He was disgraceful. Drop him.

Yeah that was shithouse, and an embarrassment for the club.

Hindsight is an easy thing, but imagine having the twin towers of Richo and Franklin.

ohhh... geezzz....... had that been the case the world would be a different place....

No Hawks premiership, richmond in the top 4....

Could one decision make that much difference????

Have a cry.....He's a dud.
And my membership is paying for that shit.
I have every right to boo when a player shits in my face by not having a crack.

Today, finally the Richmond going public WOKE UP to the Tambling disguise.

LMAOROFL !
I think he must have listened to the boys on Triple MMM before the match. After hyping the lad up, demanding that he stands up the boy showed the worst performance since the days of Tivendale.
Next week their is no doubt he will be dropped for Mcmahon because there is no way Richmond can go one week without an 80's pr0n star mustache in the starting 22.

Join the long distinguished list of duds that the tigers have ear marked as future stars. An out and out dud. The end. Whoever can come in here and keep on suggesting he will do this, he will eventually do have NFI.

The buddy v bling debate isnt a debate, it is an insult to Buddy to actually have him in a debate with this dud. ;)

LOL ...so true (shakes head)

Funny you say that..

The tigers wonderful recruiting was again on show today..

Young Callan Ward pick 19 in the 2007 draft was producing solid football for the dogs.

Who did they trade pick 19 for? Jordan McMahon

Where was Jordan McMahon this weekend? Coburg Tigers

Great trade in hindsight for the tiggers.. I feel sorry for them.:o

I can't believe people on here actually think that Richard Tambling was a decent player. I have beens saying it for ages, he is hopeless and he needs to be dropped. He isn't even good enough to play in Coburg.

This hack has had enough chances in the team and he can **** off right now. He deserved all the boo's he got today because he doesn't deserve to be playing in our team.

Naha's got dropped and kicked 5 goals in the VFL, And we put this idiot in the team who got 4 kicks and 4 turnovers.

PISS HIM OFF!

i remember his first game.. vs collingwood in nab game.. he made the back page after kicking a couple of running goals.. what the fk has happened???W

He was dead set shithouse, he cannot be named in the side next week..he was painful to watch!

So do i (and he was 10+ kgs lighter then) ... perfect example of the lack of player development at Richmond ... the kid has talent ... but he clearly hasnt kicked on, not to mention his lack of confidence now. Maybe a change of coach could do him the world of good.
