As stated before unless we were really tanking yesterday which would've been stupid given our win last week, we have no chance of beating Essendon who beat the Saints or Geelong away.

Melbourne seemed to have played out the season perfectly keeping all their picks and showing real good signs against us and richmond along with a few other credible efforts.

I just hope a statement is made on Thursday arvo and come Sunday some of them show some semblence of a fight. I think the only one's who showed any fight on Sunday were Mayne, Suban and a few of the others in very rare patches.

A winning culture needs to be installed at Freo and given this draft isn't really that flash, the difference between third and fifth pick can't be that great: GO THE WIN. Losing solves nothing, look at Richmond. They've been losing for twenty years and still can't even make the top eight.

I think ppl should realise it's the AFL that makes the rules, and not pay out of ppl speaking the honest truth about our situation.

It's all a bit irrelevant really... In the next two games, we can finish as high as 13th or as low as 16th. This means we still pick up someone in the top 5 of the National Draft. [shrugs] Whoopie! That player will still be a good player anyway (hopefully). We don't get a priority pick so we don't get two picks in the second round... So what's the point of losing the last two?

It's been well discussed on BF that pick 7 is the lucky pick in the draft. Brisbane took Daniel Rich, we grabbed Rhys Palmer, and Geelong Joel Selwood. The first player we pick, will still be top-notch player. So I wouldn't stress too much.

Next year, this whole tanking topic will be null and void, cos the priority pick concession will be suspended for the year. Just to put things into perspective.... If we finish last on the ladder next year, we'll be more than grateful to get pick 4, cos the Gold Coast will grab picks 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, and 15.
