We will be ending our use of Tapatalk within the next week (to 17th January, 2025).

I know this may inconvenience some users, but the overhead in supporting the addon is getting too high considering the relatively small number of people who use it.

We are looking for alternatives and will announce when we have news.

Just so you know this is still happening.
I don't use the app but still people on the Saints board complaining about it.
Turning off the Sports Data setting fixes it for them though

Yes that is why we put that option there.

Send them here if they have issues.

I never had this issue a few weeks ago when I was using a Samsung but now I’ve switched to apple & it’s there. I have no idea how to fix it.

These are an issue with Tapatalk and happen on those posts.

ANSWER

The web browser is not the issue - it's the content that goes in on the Tapatalk app, incorrectly.

By the time your browser reads it, the post content has been set.

I can’t figure out why. When I go back and edit with the emoji stuff out, the numbers are back to normal.

Unfortunately it's a Tapatalk issue and they have not been responsive.

I will try again. See if I can shake something loose from them.

I reckon 5+ years ago tapatalk was the main way I engaged with the site.
A few updates later and the bigfooty app worked a little better.

Since switching from the ios ecosystem to android on motorola I am finding that a chrome app window with BF url and set to desktop mode works the best. Functionally and aesthetically looks and works the same as accessing the site on a pc desktop browser.

The only new feature I don't use is the quote function to add text. Any edits, deletions or additions sees text not appear in the box so I still manually enter QUOTE, /QUOTE in brackets.

Not at this time. There are a couple of other things that we have been trying to get done all year.
