Ah, an interesting development - it only happens if I'm logged into my TT account. If I just log into BF without also logging into TT I just get my site-watched forums, and it reflects any changes I make to that list.
I've now tried scrubbing the link between those two accounts, re-establishing it, and I'm back to the original issue of non-consensual follows.
