This has all the makings of another Ben Holland-type raid.

Unless we get him for a fourth rounder or better (for us), I'd be very cautious.

Graham Polak worked out for us.

Danny Meyer is still young, and may indeed need to go home.

From what ive seen, he hasnt shown much. But hes still very young, could turn into a 10 year player for Adelaide thats for sure.

It depends where you would play him. Hes a skinny half forward flanker, probably dosent have the go to play in the midfield.

Polak has been one of the trades of the season. You wonder why he never gelled at Freo. Always seemed in & out of the side.

Meyer still has potential, but would only be worth a late round pick, if that now.

Sold

maybe a better question would be: is danny meyer worth a list spot?

That is definitely where you have to start, but it goes a tickle further IMO.

Not only is he worth a spot on our list, but will he enhance it?

To date there's not much evidence around to answer either question with a yes.

Jericho may be looking for someone else to deflect attention from him!

I doubt we'd end up with both on our list at the same time.

So if it came down to Jericho or Meyer who'd you go for?

most people would say neither... except drummond

If I had to choose one or the other, better the devil I know - but I wouldnt mind skipping on both

Look, Danny Meyer is worth a spot on a list. He has the talent to play midfield, but would be very useful.

But, a number of people in the know say he has always had major "attitude" issues going back to his time at school football and junior SANFL. It appears those issues have sabotaged his shot at Richmond, combined with injuries.

Therefore, if he comes to Adelaide, he'd be worth no more than a 3rd round pick (or maybe a pick swap) and would require some serious investment (ie The Chosen One would have to slap some sense into him).

The other issue is who will be delisted from the AFC - I'm finding it hard to pick 3

Meyer is probably close to the same type of talent as Nathan G. Brown.

Unfortunately above the shoulders he's a dud.

I have never seen a player who genuinely has the potential to be close to being as good as a young N.G. Brown, I hope Danny just clicks in this second half of the season because he has played about 3-4 really good games for Coburg where I have thought "Finally, he's turned the corner!" then he either gets elevated and plays poor or the week after he goes missing.

I'd hate to trade him, naturally he has a bucket load of talent it's just psychological... if we gave him up then he would become a gun for Adelaide and we'd look like fools.

The nature of the draft means it's a 50/50 bet either way if we trade a draft pick for him. Trade for him and take your chances that he'll come good in his home state or keep your draft pick and take your chances in the draft.

I'd probably keep a first rounder but trade any other draft pick for him.

If we trade a player for him, then if the club perceive we are getting the better deal, then go for it I say.

Is it possible he just doesn't want to play for Richmond and is hoping to get delisted or something and move back home.
Thats what some have been saying on the Richmond board.
But would you really want a player/person like that at you're club with an obvious lack of desire.
