What about Darren Bradshaw from West Adelaide.
He is a gun FF, and can bullock like Lynch does.

Biglands can develop into a defensive player. He can play the sort of role that David Pittman did. He has the pace and Bulk to worry the likes of LynchOriginally posted by Jerome
Stiffy,
I'd like to see Biglands in defence, but he doesnt think like a backman. He is far too loose and gets lead to the ball.
We need to get genuine defenders with footy brains. Parker and Rutten look like they could fit the bill. With Clarke at 30, Biglands needs to take over as our lead ruckman or remain part of the ruck team.
Seaby sounds pretty good. If we could get him, I would be happy.
Dubieniecki will be taken in the National Draft so I doubt he will still be available for a Rookie DraftAs for Dubieniecki and Griffiths, if we dont draft them then at least let them have a shot at a rookie list position.
ShockerWho is Whitehead? Is he any good?

Seaby is a better prospect and a lot better in field play than Jamar. Either will do me fine tho. Seaby is the one more likely to be available.Originally posted by DaveW
So Stiffy, you've dumped Jamar and now getting Seaby is your latest infatuation?![]()

Not really. Brisbane let him go cos they thought he was no good. He is a great SANFL player but I have my reservations about his ability at AFL levelOriginally posted by campbell

Burns' hardness at the ball would be a great asset to our side but...Originally posted by NICK THE PIE MAN
Some quiet murmurs about Scott Burns going home.
What would you give for him?

He turns 29 during the off season and I'm not so keen on Adelaide going for another short term option. We need to start developing young players.
So I wouldn't want to give up too much for him. Say a second round draft pick or a fringe player or two. Which would obviously be unacceptable from Collingwood's point of view.

If Rutten & Schuback don't come on next year i believe our long term future is not looking rosy at all,
If we could find another ruckman (/forward), I would consider trading Clarke.Originally posted by Jerome
Will Clarke be pushed out? Anyone else think his best days are behind him?

I heard a whisper Clarke was contemplating retirement, though I'm not sure of the reliability of this source. Probably very unlikely.
But it would leave us up *hit creek with a 'log' for a paddle!![]()

No. He's still the best tap ruckman in the competition.
Unfortunately I see him as a quick fix and not a good one at that

I've been thinking about ruckmen for the AFC.
Glenelg has Clint Dubenicki and Mick Griffiths who are both 200 cm. Granted, neither one has set the world on fire with the Bays but they are both under 21.
I dont think Griffo has been given a fair go by the Bays. He can be inconsistant but they havent got the best out of him. The last Dogs V Tiges match was a good exapmle - Glenelg behind all day and Griffo is on the pine while the bays have no big targets. In the last quarter they throw Griff up forward and hey, they start kicking goals. why wasnt he there sooner?
What does everyone else think of these two? at the very least they should be invited down to pre season training.
Athletic 194 cm is not exactly a ruckman in AFL circles. One thing is for sure, he would make one hell of a CHB.Originally posted by naughty monkey
If you want an SANFL ruck, what about Parry? Would end up as a KP in the AFL but could be a pinch hit ruckman.
