does anyone know if he and the club come to terms on a new contract?

You must remember he had that knee injury and hasn't been the same since. A good pre-season should see him get the toughness back into him. :)

well if he wasnt right to put his all into the game get rid of him
stop making excuses for him

Yep. He will re-sign and be a big improver next year.

He showed some glimpses of his old form in 05 and I'm sure his poor performances hurt him alot more than any of us.

He'll re-sign for sure. He's not been playing well enough to be confident of being picked up by another club if he goes in the draft. Needs to sign the bloody contract and pull his finger out. Give us a bit of commitment, Tarks, on and off the field!!!

No more excuses in 06. The knee injury was long ago.

I very much doubt that. Picked up no problems.

Fine, let him walk if he wants too much cash, and promote Harry.

Why would we promote Harry instead of using pick #53?

Harry is not likely to get more than 10 games next year anyway, and if we promote him, it means we'd be using a round #4 rookie draft pick instead of pick #53 in the National Draft.

Because he's worthless in a trade.

i'm sure we coulda picked up a 3rd rounder or something..

or say for example we sent him packing to the bombers with richie cole, we coulda upgraded that 2nd round pick to a 1st round....

It's unlikely either WA club would be interested, which nullifies the go home factor. Wet toast don't need any more midfielders and Freo don't need any more midfielders who lack pace.

My close mate used to work with Tarks when he was doing work for Adidas a few years back and he loves the club, they will come to an agreement.

He actually isn't as slow as advertised. He's been slowly gaining his speed back since his knee reconstruction in 2003, and by now is probably up to average pace.

If that were the case it would have happened with Woewodin.

I'm with Hotpie. If he hesitates to sign a contract kick him in the arse. It's not like we lack what he brings to the table.
