St Kilda added some extra versatility to its line-up after securing utility, Tarni White.

The 18-year-old Queenslander was a frontrunner in last year’s draft following a best-on-ground Grand Final performance for Cooparoo (QAFLW), before a devasting ACL injury saw her AFLW dream get put on hold.

After having learned the lesson of resilience and coming out other side stronger, the AFLW Academy talent is bursting at the seams to star at the elite level.

With time spent on the sidelines, White developed her leadership skills under Craig Starcevich, becoming a vocal and influential player both on and off the field.

A capable leader and a versatile player able to float all over the ground, expect White to influence the red, white and black next season.

The future is looking bright at RSEA Park with St Kilda locking away four of its most exciting young AFLW stars until at least the end of Season 2022.

Emerging talents Olivia Vesely, Molly McDonald, Nicola Xenos and Tarni White have recommitted to the red, white and black for another two years following sensational debut seasons at the elite level.

White was another to catch the eye with her rebounding work off half-back and fierce attack on the ball before frustratingly rupturing her ACL midway through the St Kilda’s inaugural campaign.

Rosie Dillon, Tarni White and Nicola Xenos will form an Emerging Leaders group, a new addition to the Saints’ AFLW program.
