How come Matera gets off when the video evidence is clear and conclusive as opposed to Tarrant who has no video evidence?

Collingwood will appeal.

No consistency whatsover.

Matera clearly elbows a player and the video catches him do this. He concussed Lockyer.

Tarrant has no video footage and no was was ****ing concussed.

Matera hasn't gotten off ... yet. He'll be before the Tribunal tomorrow night.

Without video evidence it comes down to the players word versus the umpires. It's a bit like trying to convince a magistrate that he should believe you and not the police. Good luck.

Collingwood will appeal.

Collingwood will lose.

Matera has nothing to do with this one. That was a disgrace, Tarrant was the tribunal finally using some common sense.

Tarrant hasn't been suspended before. There was no footage. Surely he should get the benefit of the doubt. How far away was the umpire???

If the umpires says he sees something he should be believed. Player evidence is useless, they have no credibility at all in tribunal cases.

And I hate umpires.

The worst part about all this other than he didnt get more weeks is that fact that eddie is now going to devote half the show to the tarrant incident, this coming thursday.

Absolutely!! If the AFL Tribunal were to undermine the opinion of the umpire in question, the credibility of the AFL and their judicial system would be out the window.

The AFL players are unionists, and unions stick together against their respective employers. The AFL Tribunal must go with the testimony of the umpire ... and in this case ... the umpire was 'certain' of what he saw.
