When you sit out the back of the pack you are going to have time to assess your options and kick it long. It would be interesting to know how many of those long kicks and inside 50's hit a target.

Finals are a true indicator of someones ability, Des had 3 shockers, atleast Schammer had one good one. Des is 4 years older, 4 inches taller and 10 kilos heavier so should be physically prepared for finals footy. He would be in the top 6 or 7 players at the club in terms of salary, but depending on what happens today and tomorrow he may not be in our best 22 for round 1 2007.

CC ****ed Schammer over last year and he's probably one of the only players on your list who you wouldnt overrate in trade talks (Thus he being the easiest to get in trade week). When you give the bloke no game time in the SF and PF, especially when he was close to BOG in the SF then you cant rate him that highly.

He at least showed a bit of determination in one of your finals even know he didnt get the gametime that he deserved. Unlike Peake, Headland and co. who showed nothing in all 3 final games.

Schammer's a frontrunner? So that goal and awesome centre clearance, in a final when the team was 20 points down was frontrunning? Do you even watch football?

He's 21, reads Sandi's taps as well as any player and has been an excellent player for us. After Connolly switched him forward he was averaging a goal a game. For what he's worth that's better than Tarrant

Des's stats can belie his selfishness.

You guys seem happy to sell the future and the current list for a half baked marquee player. It's this mentality which has held us back.
