its a joke, and i cant help but think it has something to do with the AFL's hared of eddie and collingwood!
How is the reduction of the penalty from five to one related to a HATRED of eddie and Collingwood? Wouldn't he have just been given five and be done with?

You know, it doesn't really matter. Whether he plays or doesn't he still won't get a free kick. Why should this week be different to any others?
I can promise you Tarrant won't get a free kick this weekend, which is one less than last weekend! :p

who cares, I have had enough of Chris Tarrant. He is capable of being the no.1 footballer in the country, but he has not performed once this year. It is a disgrace, and as I said, who cares. A 1 week ban might be a good thing, 1 less week of fustration towards umpires and Chris Tarrant for playing barbie dolls instead of AFL Football. He is getting paid $500K, probably more!

might very well go the other way...he might get 5 free kicks
maybe 5 free offers from chicks when he hits the town Friday night..
Then gets in the papers on Saturday for getting into a fight...
Then walks out on the club (again) to just 'chill out'. :(
Then reappears next year as the Carlton/Essendon Full Forward and kicks 75 goals in 2006

Ok, I think I just got a bit ahead of myself there...

I was more refering to the fact he doesnt get free kicks! but also I think that it is unbelievable to offer a player with a good record a potential five week ban when there is no evidence! Didak's suspension as well as clokes pre final suspension were all dubious and i deem them unfair and thats why i think that the afl has something against collingwood and eddie! Sure they reduced his penalty from 3 to 1 but i mean what favour have they done us! in my mind there isno way it shoudl have been anymore than that in the first place!

Tarrant's treatment has been an issue for so long it's not funny. However the bigger issue was missed due to the Tarrant issue and that is the fact that the umpiring overall was putrid.

I agree a 1 week ban might be a good thing...to rest his injury he has carried all season, a injury that gets drained before each game and most players would have not been playing or would have had an operation. He has not had the operation because Collingwood has no-one to play there. The Club knows that thats about it and respect his loyalty to play. Wheres your loyalty to our club, trashing our players gets us no where as a club and is disrectful to the players it only lowers us in the face of other clubs. We must always hold our head high even when the team or a player/s hit hard times
