Tarrant's influence on Pavlich

Could Pavlich consistently finding himself with 2 opponents be attributed to the fact Connolly often uses a loose man in defence, and as a result the opposition do to, so logically they move a 2nd player onto Pav?

Or possibly because they see Pavlich as a huge threat. It's no co-incidence Pavlich had a blinder against Sydney, their loose man spent most of the game worried about Murphy coming over the top and taking a hanger (after he took about 3 of them the week before), so he's blocking Murphy's space instead of Pavlich's.

If Tarrant can play a similar role to Murphy - i.e play a target forward that can also act as a decoy - Pavlich should go bezerk all year. But that relies on both of them playing the occasional decent game.

Tarrant will take PAV out, get into the occasional brawl & then be as overrated as they come.

Cant KIck, Horrible in one on one contests, & has a poor attitude in general..

You guys will learn the hard way, thanks for pick 8 & MEdhurst..

PS Thanks for Clement & Holland too!!! You are good to us!

Medhurst - the man unsighted this pre season? Pick 8 - the only player in the top 10 that no one cares about? and Holland - the same man who was having regular articles documenting his lack of pace around the ground and being mentioned in the same sentences as O'Bree, Lockyer, and Licuria?

Gee ... if Freo have been kind to u, I see why ur club is in the bother it currently is!

Tarrant is a gun and all Collingwood supporters wanted him to stay, as soon as the deal was done he all of a sudden becomes **********e? Go home!

Is that for real? I saw somewhere else someone made a similar comment and there was a bit of "he's hiding in the bushes" "where?" "over there" going on, but I didn't know what they were on about. What's the story there????

Lol. Collingwood's bother. Geelong have one of the better list going and they still can't make the 8. Now that what you call bother.

Secondly Tarrant leaving was a huge relief, i wanted him out. He needs a new start, and good luck to him, hope he does well. Very talented but finished at Collingwood. And thirdly have you even seen Ben Reid in action or are you just making ridiculous statements.

Also Medhurst has had tonsilitis, and has been training behind closed doors. Facts. Get them!

Did you buy a DVD of the NAB Cup victory last year?

I wasn't knocking Chris Connolly at all.

Hi Macca. Sorry for the previous response. Was misreading you.

I know Sydeney and WC usually play man-on-man, but I thought Swans didn't in the first final, won it, then JW changed tactics for the GF????

Anyway, I guess my point was that I think there is a difference in playing a loose man as an attacking strategy as opposed to double teaming a player as a negating tactic.

If another team is double-teaming Pav, where would you like to have our extra man? For me, loose in defense is the best spot rather than crowding the forward line. Especially with the marking power we have.
