Could Pavlich consistently finding himself with 2 opponents be attributed to the fact Connolly often uses a loose man in defence, and as a result the opposition do to, so logically they move a 2nd player onto Pav?
Or possibly because they see Pavlich as a huge threat. It's no co-incidence Pavlich had a blinder against Sydney, their loose man spent most of the game worried about Murphy coming over the top and taking a hanger (after he took about 3 of them the week before), so he's blocking Murphy's space instead of Pavlich's.
If Tarrant can play a similar role to Murphy - i.e play a target forward that can also act as a decoy - Pavlich should go bezerk all year. But that relies on both of them playing the occasional decent game.
