Adelaide drug ring believed to have been responsible for at least 3 murders. Abduction and torture also. Some undertones of Snowtown here.

SA Police launch Taskforce Southern to investigate three murders and potential 'staged drug overdoses' - ABC News

Yeah i can see the torture draws parallels to the Snowtown thing, but its pretty straight forward , what happens to you if you owe money to the mob, and what they do to you if you snitch to the cops.
Snowtown was weird unmotivated sordid psycho stuff.
( Apologies to the town of Snowtown , which had no involvement other than an empty building ).

Low level debts, think these guys enjoy the torture and killing. Snowtown killers motive could be said to be claiming the victims entitlements but Bunting was a psychopath. Certainly this isn't to that degree but I see some parallels. Will be interesting to see who is the ringleader.

The guys who they allegedly killed, don't look like lightweights either.

Two people have been arrested after a man was found with severe head injuries in the back of the ute they were driving in Adelaide's south.

A 34-year-old Seaford man and a 28-year-old woman from Western Australia were charged with kidnapping and aggravated assault after police made the discovery early this morning.

Police stopped the ute on Commercial Road in Seaford just after 2am and searched the vehicle after speaking to the pair.

They discovered a man, aged in his 20s, with severe head injuries on the tray of the ute.
The man, from Morphett Vale, is being treated in hospital.
Police allege the man was assaulted at several locations across the southern suburbs

From 7 days ago - did someone speak up or just coincidence?

Police from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch have made a number of arrests as part of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of illicit drugs across the southern suburbs of Adelaide.

"These results are the culmination of a significant investigation that has specifically targeted a drug trafficking syndicate operating in the southern suburbs of Adelaide. SAPOL will continue to proactively investigate people who choose to place the community at risk by trafficking drugs", said Detective Chief Inspector David Scutchings of the Serious and Organised Crime Branch.

Investigations are continuing and further arrests are expected.
