All i know is that Geelong will lose some spud to them and be granted a double up against them like they were with Gazza/GC in 2011.
I personally believe that Geelong will be the worse hit club of all from tassie entering the league

We have already started the refresh in 2021 taking 5 kids in the draft and having players like
Taranto , Hopper , Bolton , Baker , Rioli , Graham , Balta , Short as leaders that are already best 22 and another 10-12 kids that have been in the system now 2 years plus.

Geelong will have 15-17 players from their best 30 that will no longer be playing when Tassie is given the draft picks and they have 5-6 decent players that will still be there then --------- NOTHING

2025 onwards the geelong list will be dead

Yes. Provided we, trade out anything with currency that will not be here in a few years in 23, bottom out in 24, 25, and 26 to get a good top end of the draft lick. Then in 2027 we load up again on free agents with Hopper, Balta, Bolton, Baker and Taranto still in their prime. A suite of 4-5 first round picks, and 4-5 second rounders added via the draft with the existing crop of kids from the 21 draft will hold us in good stead.

From 2028 onwards we would want to have the next core capable of challenging together or it's slim pickings. We had our young core BEFORE GWS and GC entered the competition. We will still have that ability to get that done and fingers crossed the 2021 draft saves us!

None of those players are A grade match winners. Bolton can do it but he is very inconsistent.

That core is good but it needs 3-4 Cotchin, Martin, Riewoldt, Rance, Prestia in their prime types missing. We must lick the top of the draft in 24, 25, 26. If we somehow try and contend next year and load up we are just stupid.

GF: Riewoldt's monster marks

People forget just how damn good prime Riewoldt, Cotchin, Prestia, Rance, Martin were. They were so damn freaking good. WE DO NOT HAVE ANY YOUNG VERSIONS of them on our list. We must go back to the well and draft them.

How do we know that some of the kids we currently have on the list wont also become damn good when they hit their prime

Sonsie - Showing great signs for a kid
Ryan - Could be anything in 3-4
Cumberland - Another player with X factor that could take his game to elite levels
Gibcus - From what we have see looks like a smart 200+ game player
Taranto & Hopper for the next 7-8 years
Campbell - This kid is exciting
Clarke - Sure had a couple of iffy games but 19 and less than 10 games
Brown - What if he lives up to pre draft expectations and is the next stewart in 5 years
Green ??
Smith ???

Fact is we really have so many kids that we just dont know what they will become
Cannot compare Kids to 30+ year old champs on what they did when they were 25-30

Really?
I'd go a tie between us and Saints.
Us: Royce, Richo, Jack, Disco, Stewart, Gales, Sproule.
Saints: Baldock, Stewart, Howell, Lawrence, Payne, Fletcher (won't include Jamie Shanahan ;) )

Despite the players they've had, Saints have a miniscule supporter base in Tassie.

Probably also something to do with the number of flags and success each side has won within living memory. When I grew up, you literally never saw any kids wearing Saints jumpers, they were glued to the bottom permanently.

Hearing Royce Hart's joy makes ma happy Tassie finally have their own team.

WE will have two Richmond teams in the AFL.

How could you not barack a little for them when a ton of Tigers will be behind them?
The biggest AFL Club in the land has helped to spawn another AFL Club down/in Tassy... vis-à-vis by a long history through player connections, F+S's and supporters...what other AFL Club can lay claim to that?!?
We now claim GCS as a feeder club...South Fremantle in W.A. and now possibly the state of Tasmania!
Won't be long that RFC grow so big that the AFL will seriously think about splitting the RFC into Two! North Richmond and South Richmond!
At least the new Tassy Club has the potential to claim one of the biggest Corporations down there for financial support and advertising in TOLL Trucking...
If TOLL jump on board...wonder if they'll have any influence on the club colours?! seeing that TOLL are light green and yellow...
Club song?!?...Oh we are from Tas...A...Mania...A...YELLOW AND GREEN!!!

Lol should give Richmond the 20th licence. Think of all the feedback ;)

No. Rivals are born from history of hatred. Blues because of the 60's to 80's being the 2 big dogs and taking turns winning flags. Pies goes back to the
neighbouring suburbs brawling and poaching Charlie Pannam and Dan Minogue from the pies and the ridiculous amount of Grannies we've faced off in 6 times. Can't forget the poaching wars of the 80's. Having a few great players from Tassie means FA rivalry wise.

Isn't that the point though ? They may poach some of our legends and future sons/daughters of legends.

Collingwood helped Richmond join the league and were fellow working class, friendly clubs. That changed quickly.

Like most others I'm happy to see Tassie get a club , I reckon it will be great. But it could be strange seeing some of our legends , gale, Richo, reiwoldt, join them in some way. And that for sure could brew a rivalry.

Unless the saints are at their best, their supporters wont travel/turn up for any game down in tassie. Also half of those saints players I have never heard of.

Nice take. 20th will be Top End Tropicanas and end our preferential destination for Tiwi talent. Interesting to see if can have enough influence to provide some much needed $ and jobs to Darwin and the Alice, both of which oughta get an upgrade and share team, unless they take a longer view and look to make a CENTRALIAN team to go with a Top End northerners. (Goodbye Nth Melb, Scray and. Let's say, the Hawks.)

have you ever seen anything like it ???

Excuse me if you're not, but you're obviously 18 to have not heard of those players.
In my 30's and only really heard of Stewart and Baldock for the saints. Know all the Tigs players though. I am guessing all the Saints players must of played that 1 year they were good and won the flag 60 years ago

A Sbasically 2 spoons even tho we never got 1st pick for Martin (thank u Melb 2 priority pick) and Carlton for taking Kruezer ahead of Coth with priority Carlton so s**t pick
