Community Information:
Aurora has reported power has been reinstated the surrounding businesses, as a result many of these businesses have re-opened and are operating. People are asked to follow the directions of emergency service staff on site and remain behind any barriers that are in place.
TFS will be in attendance until further notice.
Further business owner briefings may occur. Stay informed and monitor the TFS website and local media.
Please be mindful that machinery and emergency service vehicles will be operating in the area for the next several days and people should stay away from the immediate area. Updates on current road closures can be obtained from www.police.tas.gov.au.
Building owners affected by the fire, are ask to contact their insurance companies as soon as possible. Assistance for businesses can be provided through the Hobart City Council or the Hobart Chamber of Commerce via Bob Gozzi on 0417 399 800.
Business owners and employees who feel they've been affected and would like counselling assistance are urged to contact Lifeline on 13 11 44.
Affected businesses have been offered temporary free office accommodation, please contact Tim Lucas or David Rose from Sultan Holdings on 62311866.
People coming into the city today are asked to avoid the area.

There is no threat to communities. Fire-fighters are continuing to patrol the area and will respond to any activity of concern.

There has been a large bushfire between Inala Road, FORCETT and TASMAN PENINSULA .
The fire danger rating in this area is forecast to be low-moderate today. Fire under these conditions can be controlled .
There is no immediate threat to communities.
This bushfire is currently being controlled.
There are smoldering trees and fuels within the burnt areas that are still producing smoke. Crews continue to patrol and extinguish hot spots, breaking up and rolling over smoldering trees, stumps and fallen debris. Smoke may be visible at times in the Kellervie, Bream Creek, Forestier Peninsula and the Pirates Bay areas.
People in areas affected by the fire must be watchful for falling trees and dangerous limbs.

Reported Road Closures : Nil at this stage.

What to do:
Check your bushfire plan now; well constructed and prepared homes are defendable in these conditions.
If you don’t have a bushfire plan or your plan is to leave, consider leaving the affected area for a relative or friends place if conditions worsen, only if the path is clear.
It is impotant that people in the fire affected areas continue to stay informed in case conditions change over the following days.

Tasman National Park - tracks have now re-opened, with the exception of walking tracks on the Tasman Peninsula between Dunalley south to Eaglehawk Neck which will remain closed until further notice. Lime Bay State Reserve and Remarkable Cave are open. Please refer to www.parks.tas.gov.au for further information.
Ensure you are wearing appropriate protective clothing if you are near damaged buildings as recommended by the Department of Premier and Cabinet - www.bushfirerecovery.tas.gov.au.
Aurora Energy and contracted crews continue to work on electricity infrastructure. Motorists should be aware that there may be traffic delays where works are being conducted.
