There has been a large bushfire between Inala Road, FORCETT and TASMAN PENINSULA .
The fire danger rating in this area is forecast to be low-moderate Saturday 26th January. Fire under these conditions can be controlled .
There is no immediate threat to communities.
People in areas affected by the fire must be watchful for falling trees and dangerous limbs.
Motorists should also be watchful for people undertaking fencing and clean up work along road sides. Please obey modified speed limits.

Unless any fire activity is threatening you directly, please do not be alarmed as crews are patrolling the fire regularly. However if any fire activity is causing you concern, please ring Triple Zero (000).

Community Information:
Crews continue to patrol areas along the burnt edge of the fire concentrating on still-smoldering trees, stumps and debris. These fuels have the potential to flare up and produce flame or embers in higher winds. Smoke may be visible at times from 'hot spots' in fire affected areas. Crews are approaching these spots strategically and systematically using hand tools, plant and water to extinguish the areas of concern.
Walking tracks on the Tasman Peninsula between Dunalley south to Eaglehawk Neck will remain closed until further notice. Please refer to www.parks.tas.gov.au for further information.
Ensure you are wearing appropriate protective clothing if you are near damaged buildings as recommended by the Department of Premier and Cabinet - www.bushfirerecovery.tas.gov.au.
Aurora Energy and contracted crews continue to work on electricity infrastructure. Motorists should be aware that there may be traffic delays where works are being conducted.

The fire has been extinguished. Some hot spots still remain. TFS crews will patrol the fire on a regular basis
 
Upper Domain Road, QUEENS DOMAIN
Size: 17 Ha

TFS crews have contained the fire and will continue working until it is safe. There may be visible smoke and fire activity within the burnt area for some time.
There are a large number of trees in the area that have been affected by fire. Fire crews and Hobart City Council are assessing the trees and falling the dangerous ones.
Hobart City Council have closed the walking tracks in the upper Domain area to allow work to be carried out safely. People are asked to stay away from the upper Domain area until this work is completed.

There is a Community Fire Refuge Centre open at the Derwent Entertainment Centre.
There is a large bushfire at Glen Dhu Road, MOLESWORTH .
The fire danger rating in this area is very high . Fire under these conditions can be uncontrollable and unpredictable .
All residents in Glen Dhu Road need to relocate NOW to a safer area.
The fire is expected to affect the area of Ringwood Road, Lachlan, and Collins Cap Road from Tanglewood Road through to Valley Road including Stocks Road, Suhrs Road, and any small private roads within the next 1 - 2 hours.
This bushfire is currently not controlled.
This bushfire may create spot-fires up to 2 Kms ahead. These spot fires may threaten your home earlier than the predicted main fire front.
There may be embers, smoke and ash falling on Molesworth, Glenlusk and Collinsvale .
There are also Nearby Safer Places identified at the Malbina Cemetery 100 Molesworth Road, Collinsvale War Memorial Hall at 14 Hall Road and a longer term Nearby Safer Place at 'Carinya', behind the New Norfolk High School, 103 Blair Street.
Reported Road Closures:Molesworth Road is open to the public, however road blocks are in place at the junctions of Glen Dhu Road and Collins Cap Road restricting access to Glen Dhu Road, Collins Cap Road, Tubbs Road and Wyre Forest Road to residents only.
The Wellington Park Management Trust has closed the following tracks and trails in Wellington Park:
East-West fire trail, Collins Cap fire trail, Myrtle Forest Track, Collins Cap Track, and Big Bend walking track. Please be advised that Jeffries Track to East West Track is closed to all 4WD vehicles.
Myrtle Forest picnic area is also closed, and any access permits to this area suspended. Visitors to the Glenorchy Mountain Bike Park should reconsider their plans, and it is recommended that bike riders and walkers do not enter Wellington Park from this area.

Schools closed due to bushfire
The Department of Education Deputy Secretary, Andrew Finch said today that Collinsvale Primary School and Molesworth Primary School will be closed tomorrow (7 February) due to an uncontrolled bushfire at Glen Dhu Road, Molesworth.
“The fire danger in this area is forecast to be very high tomorrow and following discussions with the Tasmanian Fire Service, it was agreed that as a precautionary measure the schools would be closed.
“The Department of Education has organised alternate schooling arrangements for parents who are unable to organise supervised care for their children for the day.
“Children attending Collinsvale Primary can be dropped off at Glenorchy Primary and Molesworth students will be accommodated at New Norfolk Primary,” he said.
Mr Finch said that staff from both schools are requested to follow the same arrangements.
“It is important that parents not leave their children at home unsupervised.
“Further information will be provided tomorrow (7 February) in relation to the operation of these schools on Friday," Mr Finch said.

Schools still closed due to bushfire risk:
Collinsvale Primary School and Molesworth Primary School will remain closed tomorrow (Friday 8 February) due to the current fire danger, Department of Education Deputy Secretary, Andrew Finch said today.
“The alternate schooling arrangements currently in place for parents who are unable to organise supervised care for their children tomorrow (8 February) will continue.
“Children attending Collinsvale Primary can attend Glenorchy Primary and Molesworth students can be dropped off at New Norfolk Primary,” he said.
“Staff from both schools are also requested to follow the same arrangements tomorrow.
“Parents are reminded not to leave their children unsupervised in their home,” he said.
Mr Finch said that at this stage both schools are expected to re-open on Tuesday. (12 February)

There is a bushfire on the Huon Highway south of Braeside Road, FRANKLIN.
The fire danger rating in this area is high . Fire under these conditions can be difficult to control .
This fire may affect the Huon Highway, Castle Forbes Road and Fleurtys Road to the south of Franklinnow.
This bushfire is currently not controlled.
There may be embers, smoke and ash falling on communities south of Franklin and Castle Forbes Bay.
Reported Road Closures: Braeside Road at Franklin is now closed until further notice but is open to residents only.
Traffic is now flowing on the Huon Highway. Motorists are asked to reduce their speed to 60 km / hour, ensure there are three car lengths between each vehicle and have their headlights on.
