Devils Sign Ryan Papenhuyzen

Former NRL star Ryan Papenhuyzen has committed to the Devils on a two-year deal.

Is this a prerequisite from the AFL? If you don't sign an NRL player you don't get to join the comp?

I can't see him being any better than Hunt was for the Suns, especially with his injury history. So what are the Devils thinking here? Is it just a publicity stunt?
