Can't recall too many Cats games admittedly, but IF he does get a permanent gig as a KF, ho has the capital P word.

He was on fire when he left the ground against Port in 2015.

In his career, he has had matches with best marking results of 16, 14, 13, 12, 11 x 4, 10x 4, and goal tallies of 6, 5x4, 4x4, and several x3.
Any player who can do that from CHF is a little better than serviceable, given he went forward after being a gun FB.

And did so without an ounce of mongrel or malice.

Take a look at the 2004 prelim final against the lions. Brilliant last game for the club, really gave us a presence up forward.

No it's not a pisstake at all. I was still a teenager at the time but he really gave us a presence. Against a pretty formidable outfit. Never said it was his best nor did I mention Riccardi.

It's all good , he was marking everything that game finished up with 16 disposals, 9 marks and 4 behinds. Pretty good stats for a chf who was playing against one of the best teams at the time.

In the previous seasons he didn't kick as many because he was often swapping between defence and forward. He was close to our best player in the prelim that year too playing on arguably the best centre half back of the last twenty years and he didn't even kick a goal that day. As an all round player I rate him as good as Cam Mooney.

Actually, he did mate. Taylor played on Jeremy Cameron around mid season and kept him goalless and absolutely owned him from start to finish.

I was overseas on holidays around that time so Didn't see that game. So I guess I was wrong. He played on The best forward for one week.

From my recollection he spent from 99 onwards up forward, so only his first four as a back. Valid point though, but I reckon still comparable to guys like Kersten, Walker and Stanley who spent considerable time outside of the forward 50.

He debuted in 1993. He was a very good full back at his peak. Fortunately for us he developed as soon as O'Reilly left.

Not often totally disagree with you. Loved both players. Mooney had a superb AA 07 season, but say-so the rest. For total packages, they are both Geelong stars, with obvious weaknesses on both sides. But the highlighted is disrespectful.
And Mooney was the recipient of elite forward line delivery.
Both players put their hands up in somewhat trying circumstances- Mooney to help the team achieve their true and ultimate potential, and Graham to leave his comfort zone and lead the club out of the doldrums.

Good thing we do all have differing opinions. I recall our competition 12m ago for Geelong players- I could not wait to get Graham. And I am a big Mooney fan. Pity you think it's not debatable.

I always find the arguments that involve stuff like "yeah but X played in a stronger team so..." a bit of a waste of time. They both had long careers and played with good and bad teammates. They each had ample opportunity to stamp their mark. I've got no doubt that Mooney made more of his career as a forward than Graham did. Much more.
