We talk about Heppell, Hurley and Zaka but Tayte Pears is such a quiet achiever and could be the best out of the lot.... i think we underestimate how could this kid is gonna be and is so important to our structure

TAYTE PEARS YOUR AN ABSOLUTE GUN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good* EFA

Today he was extremely vital in defence, kept Tippett goalless which is a massive achievement considering what Tippett has done to us in the past and he also freed up Hurley to play in the forward line which was great.

He just always seemed to be involved in the contest and was definitely rock solid when we needed him most, since Fletcher which is normally our go to man didn't have his best game.

Showing no signs of coming off a major foot injury, his disposal by foot was sublime.

15 quality touches, 7 tackles, 5 marks and kept Tippett goalless.

destroyed tippett, and maintained his composure with the ball in hand as well.

he was rusty in his first game back, but he's been getting better every week since

Best young KPD in the comp by a mile, and that's coming from a gigantic Trengove fan. I called it last year too. He's so goddamn composed. Such an asset.

Old news!

Most Essendon supporters knew he was a gun. Watch the replay of him destroying Fevola a couple of years ago. Hasn't taken a step back since barring injury of course.

I've always said that Tayte Pears will be a better player for us than Hurley. With Hooker coming back next week it will free up Hurley to go forward which will help us out so damn much. I'm looking forward to next week.

Not dissing pears but I remember him playing much better before he left.
Needs to put on a bit more weight to get back to his best.

That said hasnt put a foot wrong since he got back.

Good work pears.

I wouldn't say Pears is as good as Hurley, but they are both guns abd he is close.

Tayte definitely looks taller this year. He's gone from looking like a tall medium defender to a regular tall defender. I swear he has grown an inch.

his return was overshadowed by the return of Kruezer and Barlow in the same weekend.
His transition back in has been stellar and shown how much we miss him
Looking forward to Hooker, Pears, Fletch and Hurley down back next week.

Im not. Id rather win.

The biggest influence on our form this season has been our structure. I am really worried that with Hooker coming back we are going to stuff this up again.

On Pears, was fantastic and doing it all off a low base. Hopefully can get a good run out this next pre-season.

Exactly my thoughts, as much as I love Hooker I just don't know who he is going to replace.
