I was there in the series production days when Datsuns & Mazdas were sharing the mountain with H0s & XU1s & it was regularly reported the quickest car across the top of the mountain was a Datsun driven by Doug Whiteford, a very experienced punter.Yes, good point.
Sometimes it’s practical for a series to have repeat tracks in a season, but there’s something unsatisfying about it.
The smaller circuits do suit the cars better. I suppose it’s the point lebbo was indirectly making about the cars at Bathurst.
