Yeah, bit of a strange one for the saints. Hope he kicks on. He started out really promising. What was his goal accuracy like his first season? Like 80-85%?
75% in both 2010 and 2012.

I kinda hope we keep him. I understand McGlynn and Morton have overtaken him in the pecking order, but Bolton is just about done and there is always the chance of injuries. He may well get another chance.

Cant fit in all our promising players, and would suggest with current rules a player that can go through the midfield and drift forward is infinitely more valuable than a small forward.

Just based on our GF team you'd think in 2013 the following players would be start ahead of TDL in 2013

McGlynn
Rohan
Mitchell

Whilst there are also

Lamb
Cunningham

Who would be competing for the same spot, and you'd think it wont be too long till Lamb has gone past TDL in development.

I do get the impression our recruiters must rate our youngsters very highly to be trading Heath Spangher and possibly TDL. Its been sugested that we are making space for Tippett and we might but all three of these players would be on a basic contract.

We've done pretty well there I think. Wasn't expecting getting pick 47 for him.

A little sad to see him go as I am any player really but if he thinks he's better of at the Saints then fair enough. Personally I don't think he's any more of a chance getting a regular gig there really. I suppose going to play under Watters had some influence on him though.

There are big wraps on Brown and Lockyer, with Brown being compared quiet often to Johnson, and Lockyer was a very impressive defender as a junior, would not be surprised to see him take Shaw's role.

I think Lockyer was an emergency earlier this year ar at least rumoured to be in line for senior selection before injuries brought him down.

This was a mistake in my opinion. He was pick 54 if I recall correctly and he had so much promise. I'm very sad to see both him and Spangher go. It also sucks because my premiership jersey is signed by Spangher!
