Not sure we can play EM, MB, JC and WS in the same side.

If Schoey can focus on being a KPD rather than a flanker and keep the weight on, I prefer him to Brown.

He's a better rebounder, and I reckon with the extra KG he's just as good a spoiler. Mackenzie is the wrestler so we are fine there, and Gov is the interceptor.

So we have the spoilor, wrestlor and interceptor

I think brown will struggle with his comeback wont trust his knee as much and so on... No inside knowledge just a gut feeling

Likewise. I reckon with Schoey proving he can handle a key position, Brown won't be as crucial. Unfortunate for him, he did look good towards the end of last year, but 2 knee reco's now probably has him pushed out of the side for 2016/17. With Emac & Schoey the 2 KPD, we have plenty of run still from the backline, which has been a massive part of our form of late.

Assuming we trade pick 12 -> Coniglio this year (I just reckon we will), and acquire Yarran as a FA at the end of next year...

B: Powell - Mackenzie - Sheppard
HB: Hurn - Barrass - Nelson
C: Duggan - Yeo - Gaff
HF: Darling - McGovern - Newman
FF: LeCras - Kennedy - Cripps

R: Naitanui - Shuey - Coniglio
I: Lycett - Selwood - Sheed
S: Yarran

E: Masten - Lamb - Waterman

A lot expected from players yet to even star in WAFL. Not much love for Lamb? What age do you think LeCras will still be elite? Oh and Barrass is more suited to full back.

Yeah backing in Powell. Newman is already too good for the WAFL. LeCras should still be best 22 at 30. And you reckon? I thought he was more of an interceptor with good skills like McGovern than a shutdown 'wrestler'.

The team would probably be better with Yarran and Selwood out for Lamb and Waterman. Highly doubt both Powell and Barrass would be ahead of Schofield. You'd think Masten would probably still be best 22

B Brad Sheppard Eric Mackenzie, Shannon Hurn
HB Sharrod Wellingham, Jeremy McGovern, Elliot Yeo
C Liam Duggan, Dom Sheed, Andrew Gaff
HF Mark LeCras, Jack Darling, Chris Masten
F Murray Newman, Josh J. Kennedy, Jamie Cripps
FOL Nic Naitanui, Luke Shuey, Stephen Coniglio
I/C Tom Lamb, Scott Lycett, Jackson Nelson, Jamie Bennell
EMG Fraser McInnes, Alex Waterman, Josh Hill

RETIRED
Matt Rosa (age), Sam Butler (age), Matt Priddis (age), Mitch Brown (injuries), Xavier Ellis (injuries), Patrick McGinnity (Long-term WAFL)
TRADED OUT
Scott Selwood, Callum Sinclair, Will Schofield
TRADED IN
Stephen Coniglio + others

I/C and emergency players are more or less interchangeable - pretty hard to tell at this stage who will step up, although I have high hopes for Newman, Nelson and Lamb. Have loved Hill's last couple of games but not sure if he'll be consistent enough to keep his spot two years from now.

I can see Sinclair and Schofield both leaving due to lack of regular opportunities. Selwood is a bit harder to predict but I can see us biting the bullet in the knowledge that we can get a better deal for someone younger and more talented (i.e.: Coniglio) with picks thrown in. No idea who else we trade in.

This also comes with the assumption/hope that Hurn, LeCras and Kennedy will stay in good enough shape to play through their contracts and retire at the end of 2017.

Good list but I believe Scott Selwood would stay and Mitch Brown would probably leave to another club. A few more players would be delisted but hard to tell now but despite that great list.

Lots of hope on this year's draftees
No way lecca will be out of our best in 2 years, the bloke is a champ and getting better

Interesting to see how negative generally we were on Wellingham. I was very critical and can now say that he is a changed man.

Would see him as best 22 based on his form in 2015 in both 2015 and in 2017 He is only 27 this year, so same as EMac and Brown.
