Polec for mine. Every great win over the last 2 years he was a part of in a big way.

Robbie is the only one I enjoy as much in full flight.
I'll go with Polec as well. He's not the best player. Boak, R. Gray, Wines are better mids, but we have three at least who can play that role, with the likes of S. Gray and Hartlett able to do to a degree. White is quick, but not as good as Polec. And Toumpas is yet to show he can get to that level. There were many problems in 2015, but lacking Polec (and White playing without duress) letting sides slow us down and box us in, rather than breaking the lines was top of the list for me.

Polec and White - run, run & more run!! Run and carry, whilst only one dimension of our multi-faceted game plan, is nevertheless the element without which we find hardest to overcome. Without it, it's curtains for us.
Jasper, Jimmy...over to you for a much-improved 2016 as well.

Pittard in the back line ... he is capable of owning it back there, and I get the feeling that 2016 will be his year
Polec in the midfield, his magic was missed last year. Ollie is vital, but Sam Gray has shown he can cover for him if he needs time to find form
But for me, the true barometer of 2016 is:
Dixon/Wingard, if they fire then we are finals bound

I think it is as simple as this. If HARTLETT fires, then we fire!!

Hombsch at one end, Dixon on the other.... smokey for me would be White or Broadbent

I've never disagreed with Chiwigi before but the "barometer" is a stupid concept and I hate it.
I don't quite understand what the word even means, but I definitely think the team succeeds or fails together and any individual "barometer" is a coincidence.

Agree with a few others, it's Ollie for me. If he has his best year yet I reckon the team is in for a great year too.

Carlile. If he is playing well it means our defense is playing well. If he is rumbling off full back you know we are getting run and carry.
We he is crap it's a sure sign our back half is struggling to contain F50 entries.
I can't say i can recall a game where he has played well but the rest of the backline has struggled.

For me a "barometer" isn't necessarily your best player.

When Jonas was playing in near AA form a few years ago he was like a movable brick wall. The ball never got past him.

When Hammer and Polec are racking them up we are usually playing dangerous football because their disposal is so damaging.

A barometer is a measuring device. It shouldn't be your best player, ever, because your best players should be playing great footy every week no matter how the team is travelling.

It should be the player who's form most closely correlates with the team's form regardless of cause and effect.

And it's Ebert.

Its never one player that determines an overall performance of a team throughout the course of the season, despite individual brilliance that is highlighted in a good win.

The barometer for the team this year, has to be the mindset of bringing manic defensive pressure every week, regardless of opposition. To often last season we would have lulls, often lasting for an entire quarter, costing us winnable matches.

Trengove

Last few years we've won nearly every time he played, and lost nearly every time he hasn't
Not so obvious, but that's a fact jack

2013 and 2014 we went 4-8 when he was out and 25-12 when he was in. We have improved every year, 2013 we went 2-5 with Trengove out, 2014 2-3 with him out. Last year we may have turned the corner with 7-8 when he was in and 5-2 when he was out.
