there is a genuine case to pick Hartlett despite your fruitless attempt to make a joke out of it.

he averaged 101 in 2015, nothing stopping him from averaging that again. at 423k, he is a bargain
Sounds a lot like the Wingard argument all over again

Yeah, I did fail to post your overall score that was probably more than five people above you...but it's more fun this way.
Higher than the guy that finished #5 on the ladder actually ;)

Danger had 12 scores of 130+ Including 5 over 150. He picks himself.
To put things in perspective, many paid the same amount for the absolutely ugly spud Goldstein.

Goldy isn't even in the same league as Danger (not literally!)

Prestia is priced very well for his potential. If anyone had any ******* idea what Hardwick will do with him he could be a good pick.
Should average 110 and finish the year close to the 600k mark but i aint going there.
TMitch although 65k more is the only player at a new club that interests me.
Caddy same boat as Prestia.

Prestia will play back pocket to hone the defensive side of his game for at least 2 years, so avoid.
But really, he should score well, but I wouldn't expect 110+ and would expect him to be behind Dusty and Cotchin at years end.

I thought Caddy would be a good look next year until I looked into his scoring history.
- Last 3 years he hasn't played more than 19 games (14, 19, 16)
- No average better than 93, last 3 years 77, 93 and 89
- Only 5 100's in 2016 (116, 112, 123, 100 and 112) showing he doesn't go big
- 15 rounds without 100
- 6 scores in the 60s and 70s

In 2015 he did score a 171, 140 and 132 but had scores of 38 and 40. Just really not sure the consistency is there.

Falls in the same category as Taylor Adams for me, without as good a scoring history. Could score well but regularly misses games.
Was pushed to the flank at Geelong with Danger coming into the team, won't be there as much for us, which should get rid of those real stinker scores.
Not the cheapest speculative pick either at 488k, I'll wait on him to start and look to trade him in if he goes well. Has a nice bye and 95~ will be enough to be top 8 fwd this year.

Definitely behind Cotchin and Dusty but still capable of 30 touches and a 100 average.
Kids to good to play back pocket. That's just ****in insulting.

Agreed, but even for 500k 100ppg just ain't enough.
The back pocket treatment is what BEllis, Vlastuin and now CEllis have all been put through. Draft them as mids, Dimma sends 'em to the backline. It sucks because Vlas is actually good as a defender so now he'll never get out.

FeartheBeard v1.05 or whatever

23k left over
ignore the fact Dion is on the mid bench... saves like that

If you want Prestia on the ground take out one of the on field rookies then save with a empty spot. It will move Prestia on the ground. Then bring the rookie back and save. I don't know why but it works

tried that, didnt work
It's a sign. The SC Gods are telling you something.

Like when I put Butler in my team it saves him at D1 and relegates Docherty to the bench.

You found anything yet? Going through the same thing my self at the moment.

G'day, sorry, missed this till now. Have 2016 for the top 100, yearly average, games played and total points data 2012-2016 for those and more (top 100 changing from year to year), but still no luck on the SD data 2012-2015 (without the manual method as last resort). Should have 1-2 hrs' free time at work today, will have another gander. There has to be a way.

Hey guys, would appreciate it if you guys had a look at my draft team for 2017. Any help is good. After this team i have $127,000 remaining.

Edit - Seems my image is not working. Please use link to see team -

Looks like a pretty vanilla team, looks ok for now, just sit back and wait till preseason before locking anything away.

No point having expensive rookies on the bench, they either need to be on the field and start or should be downgraded to cheaper ones (I'd do the latter one for now).

Really light on defensively, if you are going down this route I'd be playing McGrath down there and not in the mids.

After these changes I'd probably downgrade Swallow to a rookie & than use the extra cash to upgrade O'Meara & a def rookie to a premo if possible.

With that said I think you've got a good selection of Premos.

Ok thanks for that, I will go edit!

What does look vanilla mean ahah?
It means, it's just an average cookie cutter team, I would say 13 of those players selected are in most teams already. I'am not saying this is a bad thing (we all need danger) what i'am saying is safe (for now) no real players of difference (ie could downgrade an expensive rookie and go JOM>JPK) ect; its fine for now.

Thoughts on avoiding Suns & Port players in starting side and targeting them as upgrades after their R9 bye?

Would be handy to upgrade a R11,12,13 bye player in round 10 and grab Ablett/Gray/Ryder/Hartlett etc.

That way you would avoid having any players out with a bye R9, and you'd also have the ones you trade in for all of R11,12,13..
