not seeing any love for Bob Murphy round here....super cheap for a proven scorer!
is his roll to change? Has he not fully recovered from his leg?
I know he's getting on but he can still play the game and in the Doggies lineup I can see good scores on the horizon. He's still their General down back!
Rest the only possible issue...
Will be 35 during next year coming off a reco. Really hard to pick despite some good scoring previous years.

Just too many unkowns.
Players who have had years off or coming back from injury.
Hibberd, Murphy, GAJ, Rocky, Lids, Ryder.
Not one of those players played 20+ games last year.

Captain options?

JPK as your leading mid, Mitchell interests me thoughts on why you like him as a pick?

Sorry bro but not a fan of that midfield, the rest I like.
i understand that people may not think that this midfield is flash, it is different, thats for sure.
JPK is one of the most consistent mids in the game and should go 110+ in 2017, with the captaincy.
Adam Treloar's last 3 weeks last season were some of the best and im backing him to go a little further than his 111 average of last season. Also rate him as the best mid in his age group.
Bont almost picks himself and is the best option around the 570-590 price.
Fyfe, well we know what he is capable of.
Mitchell is an interesting one. he was averaging 105-110 being the 4th string mid at Sydney and he will be the main man at Hawthorn. im expecting him to go 110+. His GF was also outstanding in a losing side, so will be hurting from that and will want to make a good impression on his new teammates.

as for captaincy options, there is no standout, which i think is a good thing. Means you need to be more strategic in your choices. JPK, Fyfe and Treloar most likely, with Gawn and NRoo other options

(wanting to start Pendles and Treloar, but for some reason, dont want to start 2 mids from the same side)

Your a bigger man than me, thats going to be a raffle at best, Danger is a lock.

i cant justify spending 720k on a bloke who has averaged anything worthy of that price for one season. GAJ i could, but im banking on Danger losing 60-70k early on
Save in the backs and stack your mids, Docherty I will get cheap and save the 70k.
But, Dangers 160+ C scores I will not be missing.
Good luck any strategy could work.

understand that, but this is what im thinking now. but by the time round 1 starts, i will have Danger at M1....

this is the structure i usually go with. we will see.

Explore away I currently have Bob in backs
Beams and Heppell in mids,
Sandi R2 and
Lids Ryder and Heeney...:oops::oops::oops:

Danger drove my season, I came in from 30k out to 6k in a matter of weeks once I'd spent 3/4 trades on him.

Plus I have a man crush on their midfield guns.

he's coming back from a knee and his price show's that...Huge value there!
He has been a consistent player most of his career....the Knee wont take away work rate.
he has always been the guy they want to have the ball coming out of defense. They have other options now I know but I think he will still be the main guy clearing defense or being part of the play at least.
I don't see how he's in a worse class than others like Sandilands who has had knee troubles, and for a ruckman that can really hurt your game...yet he's in most teams you see...and Fyfe had a broken leg!....I'll back him in.

I jumped on Libba last year and while he wasn't at his best...he was more than serviceable.he ended up as a perfect M9.

..I'm not sold on Murphy yet, but its way too early to be writing him off!
let's see how the NAB goes for him. We'll know how he's traveling then...:thumbsu:
This^
Murphy carries a light frame also which is helpful in ACL recovery.
