You fools. maybe jackson is injured

Maybe the CFC website should update their injury list?

Fisher and Hampson are named in the starting line-up and yet the injury list still shows them as 'test' along with Kreuze, unfortunately it's what we've come to expect...

spot on...but. Late changes always possible. Maybe were lulling them into a false sense of security, then BAM! in comes jacko and kills harvey again....

If that were the case then Jackson would be named as an emergency

Agreed, the moment the team is named, the club should contact those that run the website, and get them to go in an update the injury list. Where are their priorities? These guys are not paid to sit around! ;):D

How ironic...

Also, you've never watched Jackson play obviously, so keep your comments about him to yourself.
I've seen him play.

Jackson is a poor kick and wasn't even drafted in the national draft.

Why was that?

I noticed Jackson's kicking was poorer than JR's in the game against Collingwood when I watched the replay and wrote a write up on JR's game.
Jackson was brilliant last year. Seriously, so many times he did an awesome job.
Brilliant?

I wouldn't even say that about Gibbs who played every game as a 17 year old.

The only standout game is when he tagged Harvey in one game.
Rubbish.

Jackson has shown more in the few games he's played than Russell has shown in 3 years. Jackson's shut down job on Robert Harvey (while gathering more possessions than Harvey at the same time) is a much larger acheivement than Russell shutting downa half assed Luke Power in a Wizard Cup final.

JR is always praised for his disposal yet continuously butchers the ball and offers little to nothing by way of run (which is another facet of his game which is constantly talked up and overrated).

I show support for my side - and JR's inclusion after an average game on Saturday in the VFL where his disposal was only adequate is a disgrace.

"Oh but C4, JR offers run and a bigger body" - so what?, from what we've seen so far he looks like Tarzan and plays like Jane. I've never once seen JR physically back up his team mates in a scuffle as Jacko does.

Unless Jacko is injured - Ratts has lost the plot.
You're biased against Russell, so nothing I write is going to change your mind.

The side needs more legspeed after last week's result and second half fade out.

Russell adds that plus defensive pressure.

He'd be a good match up for Raph Clarke rebounding the ball out of defence.

How did you see Russell's bullants game from Adelaide??

i didn't - i'm just going on what i read from the game. Also i'm not convinced about JR. He must be 22 now?? and hasn't really showed alot IMO. I would be less unhappy if Saddington was included. Just to many kids in the team atm. I'm all for blooding kids but we need balance.

Good to see Fish and Hampson back.

FFS guys Russell hasn't played a game yet, at least give him a couple of games this year before you write him off. It's not like Jackson, who he seems to be replacing had a standout game last week.... If it is Russell's last chance this year at least give him some game time to prove himself one way or the other.

Good news with Hampson and Fisher coming into the team, Jackson and Grigg a bit stiff but thats footy. Happy they kept young Edwards in the team as I was fearing that it may have been too easy to flick him after 1 game to make room for others (possibly Hartlett's suspension helped??).

Go the Baggers. :)

I reckon they've kept him in cause the kid has a go. Players like Russel, Grigg and a few other young one's which wont be named, sit back and wait. They need to grow some balls and attack the bloody thing.

i may be highly optimistic but i reckon with Gardner dropped and Blake being his replacement............

........we can really expose the Saints ruck division this week and even cause Kosi to take some of the centre bounces.

Hampson goes in as first choice, mainly against king. May get outbodied around the ground but a 3rd player in style would even the contest out and Hampson should win most centre bounces with his leap. Will cause king to adopt a bang and crash style centre bounce scenario which could create many free kicks

Cloke takes Blake. Should be able to out tap Blake and is more versitile than him as well. We need to be on top of this position when Blake is doing the ruck!!!

I’m pretty sure it is C.Gardiner that has been dropped not M.Gardiner – Saints ruck division is in tact and Kosi will not need to go in there at all…. Not good the mighty Blues.

bloody hell, they said M Gardiner on the radio!!!

either way, Hampson should be able to win most centre tap outs

but will get beaten around the ground. therefore we should adapt a 3rd player up and hit the ball as far forward so we can run on to it and kick quickly!!! could be a nice 70 - 100m advantage ploy!!

3rd player in hits ball forward....gains 30m
running Blues player picks ball up....runs 20m
Kicks to a leading player....50m kick

could be something we may need to take on this week!!
