You cant both be creating space and leads up field and sticking on your man. One turnover and you're dead.

Indeed although I thought we were talking stoppages and negating the Saints midfield

Creating space and leads upfield doesn't preclude you from chasing or tackling when you don't have the ball to help out those downfield.

To state the obvious the transition from offence to defence is one of the most important phases in modern football IMO and we aren't good at it yet.
