Okay as you may or may not know, every Friday night is BigFooty Team Fortress 2 night. For those that have no idea what any of this means, Team Fortress 2 is video game made by Valve for the PC. It's a team based first person shooter game where you must work together to defeat the other team, where this is by eliminating everyone in a deathmatch style mode or playing capture the flag.

1. First step, download a program called Steam.
http://store.steampowered.com/
On the right hand side, there will be a button that says 'install Steam now'. Clicky that link and a download will pop up.
Install away!

2. Make a new account or log in with your old one if you have one.
That's basically it, you may need to check your email for a verification code to use your account on that computer. This is called Steam Guard, it's just a security measure to make sure no one has unauthorized access to your account.

3. INSTALL TEAM FORTRESS 2!
http://store.steampowered.com/app/440/
Under the images and trailers, there's a big green button with 'Install Game' written across it. All you need to do is click that button, then a pop up box will appear. Just keep clicking next and you're on your way to playing Team Fortress 2 with the rest of BigFooty.

The game is roughly 10GB, plus there may be a patch or two once the initial game has downloaded; so it's best to leave your computer on overnight to download the game.

Once booted up, you're going to want to find the BigFooty server to play with us, which brings up to step 4.
4. Once Team Fortress 2 has booted up, click 'Browse Servers' and a new window will pop up and start searching for all the servers available. There's different filter options you can play around with, whether you want to search for Australian servers or for servers with passwords etc.
You want to skip all this and click on the 'Favourites' tab up the top. Now that you have the favourites tab, you want to right click in the box and go to 'add or search servers by IP' or something to that extent. Then all you have to do is paste in this address: 109.200.212.63:27015
Finally you click add server to favourites.

The server should be called 'Team Fortress Arena Server' and it will be located in your Favourites tab until you decide you delete it.

If at any time you get stuck while Team Fortress 2 is open, you can press Shift and Tab at the same time which will open up the Steam Community Overlay. Here shows your achievements, friends list and web browser. Just click on the web browser, go to BigFooty and come back to this page for anything you missed.

These are the classes, each class is divided into one of three categories. 'Offence, Support and Defence'.

Offence:
- Scout: Runs faster than any other class, his main goal is to capture the flag and return with it. Scout can double jump whereas other classes cannot.
- Soldier: Slower than most other classes but has higher HP and has a rocket launcher which is quite powerful. Does a lot of crits (more powerful shots) more often.
- Pyro: A woman with a flame thrower, what could go wrong? Basically called the noob class, you run around setting the other team on fire. Your suit is flame resistance so other Pyros can't set you on fire.
Defence:
- Demoman: Basically shoots sticky grenades, one of the weaker classes but can be very powerful to kill enemies in hard to reach places. More suited for those who are more experienced at the game.
- Heavy: Heavy weapons guy has the giant machine gun, run extremely slow but has a gun that packs a punch.
- Engineer: Builds machines such as teleporters, sentry guns, healing dispensers. Quite a fun class to play as, quite a useful class for defence.
Support:
- Medic: The Medics primary objective is to heal injured team mates. Most of the time you will just see a medic healing the heavy. When you heal other players enough, you get a short burst of invincibility for you and the person you're healing. Very effective for mowing down enemies with the Medic/Heavy combo.
- Sniper: An Australian with a sniper rifle, that's basically it. Probably my favourite class and very effective in doing one hit kills.
- Spy: Your goal as spy is to disguise yourself as the enemy and backstab your opponents. You also have a cool sapper which is used to destroy Engineers machines.
