Yes i agree.
Fremantle don't have a forward line

Medhurst,Farmer,Justin Jongmuir,Headland,Croad.

I agree, what a rubbish forward line, better than most though including essendon

just back it up a bit to the spot where you said that the Fremantle Football Club has a better foward line than the Essendonians. What an absolute load of rubbish, please just asess those players that you have mentioned and tell me how many of them play consistantly good football? 2 out of the 5 AT BEST (headland, medhurst) and this includes one that plays in the midfield for the whole game (headland). The sheer fact that Matthew Lloyd is a part of our foward line means that our is better! Not to mention the likes of James Hird off half foward (when not in the midfield), Damien Cupido, and Dean Rioli, just to name a few.
Please make sure you justify your comments when using smart ass sarcastic remarks, especially when they are simply not true.

Two selections make me thing the anchors can win- no Ces as back up ruck and Henneman. How did he get to keep his place. I just hope and pray that side does not take the field tonight. :(

Yeah.

They have all been playing like crap this year except for Medhurst a few times. I think our back line will shut them down nice and easily.

it's the same midfield that spanked you 2 weeks ago :o

Spot on. All it will take for us to win is to make the game more bash and crash - and hopefully jump Freo early while they are still nervous.

The only good thing at the moment is finally Walls has gone back to saying we are crap - so the mozz may be off our back and we will win.

Agreed, at least Freo wont be making any plans to shut Henneman down :p . He has already said that he is willing to cop the $3000 fine for changing the squad at the last minute.
Could Johns make his debut like sheeds has hinted? I hope so

Of course you think you have a very good forward line, you think yours is better than freo. Well I think freos is better than essendons.

Croad; Not worth two bob at the moment but has alot of potential
Justin Longmuir; Developing into a great marking forward, just needs to sort out his kicking
Medhurst: The best small forward in the comp alongside Nathan brown and phil matera
Farmer: Lots of talent and just starting to deliver.
Headland;Like hird rests in the forward line now and then.

Throw in waterhouse next year and thats the best going around. When waterhouse did play freo managed to kick 25 goals in one game.

Now looking at the bombers:
Llyod; genius,best in the comp
Riolo;been terrible, especially away from home, got alot of potential like croad but not delivering
Cupido;Very hot or cot, when he is on he is top class. When he is cold he doesn't get a kick.He has too many cold games to be a good player.
Hird;Good player but gets injured too often, hes never on the bloody ground.

So you can't say freo have two consistent players cos thats all you have. Both teams have good forward line potential but fremantle still has the better forward line. One thing the bombers are better at is delivery into the forward line. Without a doubt JJ and players like that have very good kicking skills and more times than not make it easly for Lloyd on the lead.
Entry into fremantles forward line of late has been terrible.

Another good way to judge who is the better side is by looking at the ladder.

Fremantle 5th
Essendon 8th

And fremantle have had injuries throughout the year too, Mcpharlin was out for the first part of the year,Parker has missed alot of footy this year.Waterhouse has only played 5 games this year.Bombers have also had alot of injuries but have good depth.

So before you people say that essendons forward line is better why don't you actually watch them abit more and get fox footy, then you will have an idea of how talented the side is.

Jeese, bloody VICs

Gee you have managed to speak a bit of dribble there.
Dean Rioli's season has been very good to compare it to Croad's is ridiculous.

Hird will be on the ground, don't write off a champion since the break has been the best performed player in the comp.

Yep ladder positions mean everything........ Carlton are better than thge Bulldogs.

I don't necessarily think the Bombers will win tonight because there playing against a good team on there own turf, but you are speaking poo.

Essendon's forward line in dry conditions is better than ours IMO. It just functions better. We have talent up forward but I think their forward line is structured well more often than ours.

Our forward line itself is one of the best in the competition. Nobody should be able to deny us that.

Where we break down is on delivery to our forward line. That's ultimately the difference between winning and losing for us, it seems. This is partly why the bigger grounds give us trouble. We seem to lack a bit at half-forward, particularly CHF.

In the Round 6 game this year, time and time again Essendon broke down at half-forward, turned the ball over and got absolutely smacked on the rebound. Essendon cannot afford a repeat of that scenario at all costs.

Worse yet, in those situations we tend to become less and less confident with each disposal, and begin to overpossess the football. Scoring usually dries up by that point and it's good night. We generally kick very ordinary scorelines when we travel.

It's hard to win at Subiaco without your CHF playing well. In Essendon's case, it happens to be just about our weakest position on the ground.

Bolton has done some good things there this year, but he's not consistent enough, and his game is probably more suited to playing on the flank rather than CHF.

Lucas has been named at CHF and plays okay there, but it is hard to take him away from CHB considering the form he is in there.

Henneman could play there, but he's a bit underdone and he plays better as a backman. At the moment he takes backup ruck duties, where he usually gets beaten, but we have no alternatives at the moment with Ces apparently unfit.

Lloyd at times this year has floated out to CHF, but like in Lucas' case, it is hard to take him away from a position where he's playing well at.

At Docklands we generally don't require as many posessions to move the ball forward. We generate a lot of run off half-back and can just take off and kick long to the forward 50 to leading players because there isn't as much distance to cover.

Good luck with that lacklustre midfield

:o - this will be a cakewalk

thanks for the well wishes earlier in the week johnno, we didn't really need them in the end, but i'm sure they played a small part in tonight's proceedings... you can never have too much good luck
