So if the All Australian team got together and had 2 weeks to train together before playing Hawthorn at the MCG what do you imagine the result would be? Would 2 weeks be enough for the team of champions to beat the champion team, if not how much extra time would they need to train together, or how many practice matches would they need before they could beat Hawthorn?

If the AA team works as a complete team unit with good knowledge of the game plan etc, they win every time. But if they don't play as a team and if they don't have good understanding of the game plan, Hawthorn comfortably

Hawks would win if A.A. team only has 2 x weeks training. System over stars.

The A.A. boys would gel pretty quickly if coached to a basic game style. At some point they would get over the Hawks due to a few of the A.A. stars cutting loose and carry the A.A. team to victory. (I don't mean the rest of the A.A. team would be crap, just that they would be replying on individual brilliance to carry them over the line, they are never going to have enough time to fully develop and train to a system to beat a 'real' team which has been training together for many years.

Working as a team in defence might be the hardest for the A.A. boys, plus maybe too many goal scorers getting in each other's way in the forward line

Along the lines of this, if only we got to see the team put out for the International Rules Series playing the actual sport they star in, with the rules and ball they are all used to. Would be amazing to see.

I think an All-Star team would beat Hawthorn quite comfortably, whilst the Hawks do have great depth within their best 22 by the time you get past their top 10 or so players the class difference would start to show (ie just compare the benches for each side).

I think in theory the AA team would win quite comfortably. However, 2 weeks wouldn't give the time to understand how each other works. Where does Goldy tap and who to, what forwards lead where, how does the team defence work? I think Hawks would win because they would work together better, the AA team would almost need 2 months to learn how to play together IMO.

If they don't play as a team unit and don't have a good game plan the all Australian team only wins by 14 goals instead of 25.
