Analysis Team rankings 2018 - Maths at work

Like last year, I have started the team rankings for this season, unlike the squiggle, my system only uses data from the current season.

Last year's ranking had us just missing the 8 for a fair while, this years makes for much more pleasant viewing. I must add it is early days and rankings swing and sway early before settling down....

If anyone wants to read how it works the maths is explained here:

It takes a while for enough teams to play each other to get fixes on where everyone is, so 7 rounds is usually a good measure but here are the cumulative rankings for the first four rounds:
(I've done things differently this season, in that I have used a win and a loss matrix so there are negative rankings, also I have made each round relative to the highest ranked team being ranked 100.
And round 1 will just look exactly like the ladder for round one, then it starts to deviate from the ladder.

I'm cool with pretending round 3 didn't happen if you are.

I'm cool with pretending round 3 didn't happen if you are.
It happened and it is included, but I didn't summarize where it stood at the end of the round as I normally do, so to do it I'd have to remove all the data from round 4 do the table and then re-add round 4

When will round 5 be added.

Cheers
Done! Apologies, had a very busy week. Round 6 added as well.

Hawthorn holding on to second for dear life. Makes better reading than last season. Richmond's gap on the rest of the competition is extending.
Looking like a stand alone outpost.
