After longterm injuries Hayden, Haines and Matt Carr all played well in the WAFL yesterday. Matt Carr should definately come into the dockers side next week.

Gilmore and McManus both B.O.G. for their WAFL sides.

I'm not a fan of either Schofield or Headland. I'd like to see Murphy in place of Headland in the above team and Walker for Schofield. Headland to me is a show pony and and gets the easy gets and still isnt a consistent finisher for a player of his apparent $$ calibre. I'll probably get flamed but there it is.

Eating my own words here, well done Dessie. A solid game, showed some desperation, put your body on the line and showed what you get paid for.

Bell showed what a great player and captain he is today. For mine, he was our best, led from the front, was absolutely desperate, made his 2nd efforts count and set the pace for the young team mates in the mid field.

Timely addition. Walker also showed us what we've been missing, can't wait to bring back Hayden and Carr! It'll be good to see the Carr boys ganging up and running rampage against the pies next week.

The only concern is who is to make way for Carrs inclusion? The only person I can think of is Johnson.

You need to take the wet conditions into account. I thought Peake played quite well actually. He is more of an impact player, who will suit the dry conditions better, but was still servicable.

Walker for Schofield would make me happy. :)

Well it did make me happy. Jimmy only took about a quarter to warm up to the task and I thought he was great. IMO there's nothing (at the moment) that Schofield can add that one of the youngsters can't. We have enough leaders out there who seem to have finally got their collective selves together, that we can do without the one thing he supposedly provides - experience and leadership to the youngsters. To me he always looks on the outer when on the field anyway... although I could be very, very wrong.

And onto the other topic of my Docker-loving son... he was given the ball by Pav at the end of the game... you reckon he wasn't over the moon! When we got home he was hugging it like a teddy and patting it doing his best Golum impersonation... My Precious... :D

Awww sweet! Perhaps you can get the Pav to sign it for him too.

I saw that, its a nice thing about Freo. The black armbands and the empty seat was special too. Thats what makes Freo different to the Weevils.
