Nah mate. I don't mean for this week. I'm saying once those changes are made over the coming few weeks, that would be my ideal side.
Add Perrie then.

We shoule be bringing back the players from LT injury in stages where possible, given they may struggle to run out the full game.

A great move by the coaching panel. :thumbsu:

By selecting the same team that got thrashed in the West, they have said that they believe that form to be a one off aberration, and put it fairly and squarely on the players shoulders to prove that belief to be right.

The challenge is now with the players to show their coaching staff that they are correct with that thought process.

I believe they will.
I agree on all counts Macca. Craigy has backed the players all year ... & I'm sure the players will repay the faith Sat night.

So *****ed I'm missing the game (1st for the year) because of a birthday party, so cheer them on for me (Triggy & Co will be happy that I have lent my tickets out).

Well, the team is pretty much set. However my ideal changes would be:

In: Welsh, Bock, Hudson
Out: Shirley, Stevens, Clarke

which one of Welsh, Bock or Hudson will be tagging the oppositions midfielders?

That's unfair to Shirley. He's had a good year. You don't hold your spot in a side if you're not doing your job week in week out. The coaching staff are a bit more astute than that. Or don't you think so?
I thought Bock and Welsh might have been a show this week, but like others on this thread, I like the thinking behind the unchanged side.

Strong statement there,

lets hope it's the right one.
But its a CLASSIC Craig thing to do. Ever since he was appointed our coach he has ALWAYS backed players in after a poor showing. Remember last year after Dogga played an absolute stinker agains th Pies in round 2? He copped plenty of **** on here and on the airwaves and he was just about stamped as "never to play again". He got picked next week and played one of his best games for the club.

Even when we got beaten by WB last year, he didn't drop anyone and went into the game with unchanged line up.

This reaction wasn't unexpected IMHO.

Ha, as if only Neil Craig does that. Choco does it every week. He picks Bishop, Lonie, Dew ... you name them, they're in. Played like a dog the last 16 weeks? No worries here's your spot. Your own mum wouldn't select you? I'm bigger than her! Excuse me, I think I need a lie down ... sorry to intrude :o

Tell us how you REALLY feel. Seriously, don't sit on the fence :D

Definately an interesting move by the new Zen-Master.
I would probably have wanted to start bringing back into the team the players we want for finals (Perrie, Welsh, Bock, Hudson, Torney etc..) Ideally you would make one to two changes a week until everyone is back and give that full team at least 2 games together before finals.
The no changes move however is an interesting step and a move that really puts the onus on the players to perform. I'm tipping that there are many guys who will have been told their performance this week will be watched very closely, particularly with so many waiting to get in the team!
Anyone notice that Torney was not named for South but Skipworth and Bock were named for the Eagles? Anything to this?

Probably a good move. If Welsh isn't ready, he isn't ready. But I have a niggling voice at the back of my head going "WHERE THE $%!@! IS BOCK???!!!" Can't wait for tonight.
