I loved the "THEY KNOW WE ARE WAITING" and then after you beat us "WE TOLD YOU WE WERE WAITING" LOL love it.

The rivalry between slogans was great. I know I'm an Essenson () supporter but would the slogan be as talked about now if Carlton had have won? I personally don't think it would have.

Our's on the other hand, if we lost would have looked even worse..

I recon our 2009 was the best slogan of all time, I can't see us even matching it again. I have a feeling that if Carlton had beat Essendon that time there may have been a counter slogan from Carlton which would have been talked about, but who knows.

People really need to see how great that slogan is, every supporter of every club knows it, the Dons made a counter slogan. You guys don't even know your Owen club slogan but know Carlton's . Our clubs are just like any brand out in the market place and to be noticed and talked about is a marketing win for the club and the brand.

Put sh#t on it all you want but the fact is it even got play on rugby and soccer T.V & Radio shows all over Aus. The sponsors love it.

Firstly this was a thread about team slogans, real or imagined, not your shit sides actual efforts. Apart from the opportunity many took to take the piss out of "They know we're coming" I had no real reason to get excited about it, but I'm glad you were thrilled, good on you.....
Secondly my comment was accurate, in that it would have been a very appropriate slogan for a team which does not yet exist in GC17.

Good luck with this years "22 players and 16 cups". Definitely should get a run on youtube.

This one I find ironic.

Didn't Melb a year or two ago try to rid themselves of any association with the "Demons" because it wasn't suitable for the corporate world?
