Firstly can I just say that I have been reading this forum for about the past 3-4 years (always the carlton one, cant be bothered with all the other rubbish on the main boards), and always find it really interesting and a good source for information.
I do apologise if someone else has posted on this topic before, but I searched and couldnt find it.
The reason I thought I would finally post today was to get some peoples thoughts on what will happen with Stevo this week v the Bombers. I am a big fan of Stevo, and believe last year he stood up for us a few times when we needed him to. I firmly believe he is in our best 22, but thinking hard about it today, I find it hard to fit him in.
For what its worth I would bring Banno in to cover Jammo (as i am a fan of rewarding form) and I believe he can handle an out of touch Lucas, with Thornton going to Llyod. If Lloyd wants to wonder up the ground, let Waite go with him and make him look stupid.
I also believe we should bring Grigg back in for Garlett (i rate the little guy, but he really ran out of puff v lions, and did drop of some tackles etc, but he has a big future).
But that leaves me with Stevo. Do we bring him back in for Johnson? He wasnt too bad on the weekend and has great footskills. Wiggins is another candidate, but I love having a player like that in the team, even if his kicking isnt always great. We need AJ this week to go with Lovett, as he tore us apart last time, and AJ can definately go with him. Or do we ditch Russell? My problem with that is that Russell can defend the quicker blokes, and that is one thing the Bombers have.
This would leave my team looking a little like this on paper
