The Max Warren in has got me stumped. He would have been in the bests for NB about 3 times in 3 years. Surely Jacobs, or if we are in need specifically of a lockdown defender then Hine, would be ahead of him in the queue. As an in for nahas of all people.
Surely this is a see what he's got before end of year decisions?

44 is a famous jumper at North. Not so much for those who played their career in it - Shannon Motlop actually holds the club record for most games in it. But it's the number Barry Cable wore for one game. I think the story goes that he accidentally left it behind his usual 9 when he arrived at the 1975 Grand Final so he wore 44 instead. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I remember at that game asking my dad about 10 times a quarter who #44 was because it wasn't listed in the record. I must have had the attention span of a 7-year-old. Was going to bring it up but you beat me to it :thumbsu:

Me too. I believe 44 has significance for Indigenous players and that Cable is part of that?!

Reminded me of Maurice Boyse who was a good ordinary player who had a terrible head injury at North.

Great work, Marster.

Although you appear to have forgotten Max Power.
